    Copper Sticker

Yes, Mulehumper, I think riding my quad on PUBLIC roads and trails should be free. I already paid a fee to register it, it is licensed and I paid taxes when I bought it. When I see the Jeeps and F150's with the stupid sticker, I'll put one on my Polaris. WAaaaa Waaa waaaa

    2007 tag fees

I am talking about people wanting to put exorbitant fees on groups of people that they don't like.

    2007 tag fees

Amazing how everyone is so eager to give their hard earned money away. It's like there are a bunch friggin liberals here that think taxes, fees and the almighty government are the answer to all their problems. I don't like this group of people, so let's price them out of existence so that I can have everything my way.

    2007 tag fees

The guys doing the road hunting and drinking are not the ones that will be effected. They are not taking their kids. It will be the young guy with a new family or the 28-35 year old with 3 kids who want to hunt and fish. Those kids will one day be of voting age. How do you ask them to support hunting and fishing at the ballot box when they cannot even afford a license? The Dept isn't raising the fees to weed out the riff-raff. They could do that by writing some tickets and taking away hunting priviledges of the law breakers. They are raising prices to generate more money. Those new 4x4 Dodge trucks don't get good milage and they are not cheap. Either is the brand new G&F office complex they are building. It just seems a little funny when last year the Dept was on a rant about hunter retainment and recruitment, so they had to come up with a way to issue hundreds more tags, yet at the same time they jack up the prices so fewer people can justify a hunting license and tag. Yes, I know prices on everything go up over time. Just don't try and tell me that you are trying to recruit more hunters while you are reaching deeper into their pocket. I just had a great idea! Let's raise gas prices to $8 / gallon. Maybe that will weed out the riff raff drivers and I can get to work on time!

    javelina processing

Southwestern Processors in Queen Creek. Either have it all made into sausage by them, or have them grind the whole thing into burger and make your own sausage at home. We also mix the ground 50/50 with cheap hamburger (more fat the better) and use it in chili. Tastes fine. I took one to 4 Peaks processing one time. The sausage they made sucked big time. I thought, ok, it's a javelina, maybe it was just rank. I then took an Antelope to them and the sausage they made out of it was even WORSE. They didn't even use a sausage casing, just a log of meat and spices baked into a freakin railroad spike. It's still in the freezer, 4 years later. I am saving it incase I need a new axle for me quad trailer!

    2007 tag fees

I agree, but I don't think resident archery cow tag should be priced at $100. Just my opinion. I thought their big push was for hunter recruitment and retainment?

    2006 Kodiak Alaska Trip

Uhhh HELLO! You cannot make a post like that without pictures to back it up! My friend and I just made our final decision, we are going to Prince of Wales next September for Blacktail and Black bear bowhunting.

    Terrain Preferences

That's the exact kind of stuff I like to hunt, except I like to get up high and glass down into that mesquite thicket. That's where the big'ens hang out. I also like the oaks, though the high, tan colored grass in those areas really conceal a Coues deer well.

    Any luck?

Aren't you glad they took all those December tags and moved them to October/November?

    Any luck?

If they are crossing to the northside too early for you, skip glassing the south side and set up in the morning near a saddle where you have seen them cross. Split up to cover cover more crossings.

    Coues Sanctuary

I read an article recently that said many many ranches in Mexico are turning to high fence. Not only that, a lot of them are starting to use high rack vehicle so the guides can can drive around all day looking for big bucks and the fatties can shoot them right from the truck. Mostly desert mule deer hunts, but I am sure that the Coues hunts are being conducted the same way. Fricken sad if you ask me. Would not be happy if I paid $25,000 for a road hunt.
  22. Usually, you just need to look at who is suporting the initiative to see the intentions behind it. If it supported by developers, home builders, etc it is most likely designed to get the most land developed for smallest amount of money and/or the least amount of red tape. Hint: If you see the name George Johnson supporting ANY land bill or initiative, vote no, then get your mom, dad, sister, gerbil, and grandma to the polls and make sure they vote no too!
  23. As soon as my daughter is done with high school, I am out of here. No disrespect to those of you that still enjoy it here and / or have lived here all your life, but this place sucks.
  24. I think Arizona has just passed Cali as the most liberal state in nation. First Nappy, now Harry Mitchell? What the....? And we are the first state to ever defeat a gay marriage ban. Embarrassing. Oh yeah, BOTH land measures look like they will not pass. That's good. Time to move. Anyone ever been to Idaho?
