I'll bet that there is more chance of disease being spread at a desert water hole, where every deer, javelina, fox, coyote and rodent within 2 square miles congregates all summer long than at a salt block.

Oh I see it... but I am sure the margin of error is well about 6%..... I would say it is a wash.... But personally I don't think people like Cho should be able to legitimately purchase guns... That is just my opinion... Like cochranj said... it is a tough call as to who can have guns.... about the fox poll.. I am pretty sure it was anti-gun because there was a buzz about it... the buzz is that foxnews is pretty right wing so everybody was surprised.... j- Evidently he had never been in trouble before, so how do we tell him he can't have a gun? Plus, do you really think crazy people or criminals are going to be worried by a gun control law? the only people that will obey them are the ones aren't likely to go a killing spree. If a fruit cake really wants to kill a bunch of people, they will find a way to do it; bomb, poison, hijack a plane and fly it into a building..ect. The fact is, there is a "Va Tech" in this country everyday. 30+ people are killed by random acts of violence in this country everyday, but when the same guy does all 30, it is somehow a gun control issue. Ridiculous. -

I was not referring to the article, I was referring to the poll on the left hand side of the page. 56% of the people said they preferred MORE gun rights, not less. -

April 18, 2007 Please help us get this information into the hands of as many people as possible by forwarding it to your entire email list of family and friends. U.S. House set to vote on “Grassroots Gag Order” Contact your representative today to oppose H.R. 984 Dear Jeff, Without a doubt, this could be the most important letter I have written you. I wrote to you in January about legislation in the U.S. Senate that could have silenced grassroots communication. Thankfully, the legislation was defeated after you and other concerned citizens let your voices be heard. Now, the U.S. House of Representatives is set to vote on the same issue. The U.S. House is set to vote on H.R. 984, which would effectively keep AFA and every other pro-family organization in America from providing you information on bills in Congress. Under H.R. 984, we would only be able to provide you information on a bill at a high cost and at great danger of being penalized by Congress. To put it bluntly, members of Congress are tired of getting your e-mails and phone calls, and H.R. 984 is designed to keep information from you that might inspire you to call or write your representative. The new Democratic Senate thinks that if it can keep you from getting information - which is what H.R. 984 would do - then its members will not be getting e-mails and phone calls from you. Representatives favoring this bill are simply tired of hearing from you. That is the bottom line. They don’t want to hear from you. They don’t want you to be informed. They want to silence you. How? By simply keeping you from receiving information that AFA provides. I know that language is strong, but H.R. 984 will do exactly what I’ve said. Take Action 1. Send an e-mail to your representative now! 2. Call your representative at 202-224-3121. Urge your representative to vote against H.R. 984. Tell him or her that you support the portions of this bill that call for more transparency and accountability from Congress. Tell him or her that you reject provisions which unnecessarily require burdensome regulations upon communications by individual constituents who are freely and voluntarily expressing their views on important issues to members of Congress and the Executive Branch. 3. Please forward this to your friends and family. It is vitally important that they know what members of the House are trying to do. 4. Print this information, and share it with members in your Sunday School class and church and urge them to send an e-mail and call. Email Your Representative in Opposition to H.R. 984 -

IMO, those should be two different issues. The part of the bill that will make it very difficult for your and I to communicate with our elected representatives is wrong. Handle the White house in a separate bill if need be. Even the ultra-liberal ACLU has come out against this bill. -

I have done a ton of research on this topic. I wrote an 18 page senior research paper on it and had 8 pages of facts. I wrote a 4 page paper on possible solutions last semester and recieved a 5%!!!! I now have to write the same assignment only this time I am writing on my experiences with the time I have spent down there and if I recieve another failing grade I am gonna be pissed!!! English teachers are not supposed to grade you on your political views, but only on the qulaity of your work. I would have complained to a higher up. -
That's fine, but why do they continue to want to kill all the bucks too? They have no problem decimating the Kaibab herd, but they get their undies cranked up their butt if a archer kills a coues over salt?
-
I do too, for the most part, but if it is on private property, I don't think the G&F should have any business there, as long as they are abiding by bag limits, seasons, etc. I'm pretty sure that it is already illegal to establish a food plot on public land.
-
Well, the "public" isn't buying hunting license, tags, permits, paying application fees, etc. WE ARE.
-
They hate it when we kill THEIR deer. Unbelievable. I am 100% convinced now that we have a bunch of bunny huggers in charge at G&F.

If you catch someone stealing you should get to keep what they were swiping, just to tork them off even more. If that were the policy though, I would invite in my Bro-in-law to check out the new rifles and as soon as I handed it to him I would yell "THIEF", tackle him and claim my new .300 Weatherby Mag (with Swarovski scope in Warne mounts.) -
There are some motels on Van Buren, close to the ball park, that could be interesting. But I think they make you pay by the hour! Or there are these: http://www.undercovertourist.com/united-st...a-diamondbacks/

I was wondering if a person could add some sort of shim or spacer between the spring steel of the clamp (where is attaches to body) and the body of the tripler which would allow the tripler to center on the eyepiece better and possibly work with my Minox 15's? The problem I had when trying to fit the device onto my eyepiece was that it was way off center and unuseable.

AZGFD Hunt Recommendations

Seems to me they had the best of both worlds with the central unit WT hunts. Good opportunity (25% +/- draw rate) and a good quality hunt. If you are going to micromanage the deer harvest, does EVERY unit have to managed for opportunity over quality? Can't there be some whitetail hunts managed strictly for quality? -

My kid is better lookin than yours! -
It (the 10% deal) used to be for only the primo muley hunts. Now it is for all deer hunts. I doubt if it even comes into play for the Oct/Nov WT hunts. Maybe some of the Dec hunts that only offer 50 tags hit the 10% quota though. You can call the Phoenix G&F office and ask about it. It's public info, they have to tell you. Or for $25 you can order a print out of the bonus point breakdown from last years draw.

Thank you for your time. I think when you hear the "they never listen to us" comment, most are refering to the Commission and the bean counters, not the biologist and such. IMO anyway. Thanks again. -

They release the recommendations yesterday, then schedule a public meeting for tonight with no announcement? NICE! -
OTC archery turkey dates are the same time period as the elk and deer too. I think some bear hunts might overlap too.

1300+ tags on the Kaibab hunts again. I guess they "found" some more bucks. Disgraceful. -
