You bought for $250 yesterday and now want $225 today? Did you get your business education at NAU?

DesertBull replied to bobbyo's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
That's sounds good, but I still think old guys taste bad Sincerely, Richard Simmons -

I got my first Bear pics on this mountain. Kind of surprised me a little bit, but have seen tracks every now and then. Lot's of does using this seep, but no bucks yet. The water is in the brush to the left, but this is the trail everything uses to get to it. The times on the photo's are correct, excpet for the AM /PM. It's reversed.

No elk here that I know of. I did not see anything like that at the site. There are cattle here though. -

There are going to be some crazy deer and bear on this mountain when they find the weed. Maybe I could bait them with Doritoes, Oreo's and Mountain Dew? :P -

My camera is not anywhere near the plot and there is another way in, although requiring more brush busting I'm not letting them take my hunting spot. I've busted my butt finding this place. -
That looks like Bass Pro Shops.

Gas and food prices take their toll on everything but the basic needs these days.

I agree. Big difference between this and going to the Commission meeting and hearing them tell the people to sit down and shut up.

Man uses gun for backscratcher, shoots himself 01:43 PM CDT on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 By KIMBERLY DURNAN / The Dallas Morning News kdurnan@dallasnews.com A Fort Worth man trying to scratch an itch on his back used a revolver and accidentally shot himself. Jorge Espinal, 44, was drinking beer and playing poker around 3 a.m. Sunday in his home in the 3500 block of Montague Street, when he got up from the table and walked into another room, said Fort Worth police Lt. Kenneth Dean. “He told officers he had an itch on his back and grabbed the first thing he could get a hold of, which was a revolver,” Lt. Dean said. “The gun went off." Mr. Espinal went back and told his buddies that he shot himself. “They didn’t believe him until they saw the blood coming down his back,” Lt. Dean said. Mr. Espinal was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries. -

It's not global warming. It's climate change. -
Before the change, there were several units that already had 70-100% draw rates for the October and November hunts.

I clean them under the faucet at home and then blow the water off with compressed air. Put a little dab of oil on the hinge after it dries. In the field, I have a brush with squeeze bulb on the end that I can remove dust off the lens. I never wipe the lens with tissue in the field. Too much dust on the glass, most of which you cannot see and will eventually wear through the coatings.

Conference on lead coming up
DesertBull replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
"We've effectively demonstrated that lead does get into venison, both hamburger and steaks," he said. "It's at levels sufficently high enough to be a concern to people who get those packets. We don't know what risk, but we know they are at some risk." I'm at MUCH higher risk when I drive to the grocery store on the same roads that drinkers are driving on. Why not ban booze? Seat belts, helmets, tobacco, etc, etc, etc. We are living in the world's biggest nanny state. -

Who told you that? Algore or the fear monger Obama? -
You talkin about the Swimsuit Issue? 38-24-28 SCORE!

The new Hunt AZ book is available now for download at AZGFD.COM It list unit 22 as having less than 10% success rate for each of the last 5 years, yet it was one unit that lost it's December hunt. Makes no sense. It also says almost 1500 people archery hunt unit 22. I've gone out on a Saturday and hunted all day, near main roads, and never saw another hunter in that unit. I know it is popular, but come on, 1500? How do they know?

I would subscribe to a mag that refrained from mentioning scores at all.
