    Same Sex Marriage

You know what else doesn't make sense? Hate Crimes We already have laws against murder, assault, etc, that are designed to protect everyone equally, but now, if a white guy beats up a black guy, or if a hispanic beats up a gay guy, etc etc etc, he is sentenced differently than if a white guy beats up another white guy. What if a straight hispanic guy beats up a gay white guy? Which hate trumps?

    Same Sex Marriage

So, you believe it is a choice, that can go back and forth, and that it is influenced by public perception, acceptance within society, etc or are you saying they really did not change their preference, but are only pretending to do so, to escape the "shame"?

    Same Sex Marriage

The Constitution says this is a state matter (any power not given to the Federal Government in the Constitution is to be defered to each state to decide for themselves). If the people of the State decide that this is not acceptable, then that is the way it should be. Same as if they decide that it is acceptable. The people of the State of California passed a gay marriage ban, by a wide margin, yet their judges have struck it down and forced it upon them against their will. Why are they judges still on the bench and why does this legislation from the bench have any merit?

    CALLING ALL DEMOCRATS

We are sending $800 B to terrorist every year because we are to stupid to use any of our own oil. If, by some miracle, we found an alternative way to fuel our cars tomorrow, it would be 5-10 years before it was ready to use. The Supreme court decision that let us keep our guns was 5-4. That is scary. I hate SS and medicare, there is no way I or anyone else should be FORCED to participate in those programs if we do not wish to. Clinton signed the bill relaxing the lending standards for mortgages in 1999. That was the beginning of this mess.

    CALLING ALL DEMOCRATS

If Palin were on the top of the ticket, I might vote differently. A friend of mine had an interesting take on this election. We might have to hit rock bottom, as a country, before we realize how socialism and trying to be the worlds police force is ruining the country. Electing BO would hitting rock bottom, IMO.

    CALLING ALL DEMOCRATS

Didn't Clinton win his second term and lose in his home state? Gore would have beat W the 1st time and we would have never heard the words "hanging chad", if he could have won his home state of Tennessee.

    CALLING ALL DEMOCRATS

I will be writing in a name and no, I do not support B.O. Nor do I support John McAmnesty. If McLame cannot win AZ, his home state, without my vote, he has no chance to win the election.

    Care To Take a Guess

    You found some peyote?
  11. These kind of things only help Obama get elected. "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."-Truth! This is an accurate quote from the introduction to Dreams from My Father. The book chronicles Obama's experience as the son of an African father and an American mother. ----- "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."-Fiction! This quote does not exist in either of Obama's books. ------ "There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white."-Truth! This is a quote from Dreams from My Father. It it in a section in which Obama describes a job interview with a man in Chicago. Race had been a part of their discussion and the full quote is, "There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white---he'd said himself that was a problem." ------ It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."-Truth! This one is also from Dreams from My Father. It is from a section when Obama was a college student and wrestling with his identity including as an African-American. The quote describes his observation of what was required among his fellow students. ---- "I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela."-Truth! This is from Dreams from my Father. The more complete quote is, ""Yes, I’d seen weakness in other men— Gramps and his disappointments, Lolo and his compromise. But these men had become object lessons for me, men I might love but never emulate, white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela." ------ "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."-Fiction! This is a corruption of a quote from Obama's book The Audacity of Hope. It is from a section that talks about the concerns of immigrants who are American citizens. Here is the accurate and more complete quote: "Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

I've hunted Peeple's Valley and Yarnell area many many times and have never seen any elk sign. I heard that a big 6x6 bull got whacked by a truck on the road around Kirkland though.

    Sarah Palin

BO rarely shows up for his day job either. IMO, any congressman or Gov that decides to run for President should be required to give up the job they were elected to fill. You're getting paid to work for us, not further your career. That goes for McCain too.
  14. which do you prefer? I have both and use both, but I prefer the tree stand. Looking out of that 12x12 hole in the blind, all day long at the same little area, is bullcrap.

  21. She scares the left. They won't admit it, but they would not be attacker her like they if she did not. Did you know the Dems have sent an entire team of LAAAYURS to Alaska to try and dig up people that will help them defame her character?
