I like to leave the binocs locked on the exact spot the animal is standing when I shoot, especially when I am alone. Can't really do that with this, unless you carry an extra T-pod.

Tikka, plain jane Remington 700, or Savage are good, quality products at a decent price. I especially like the Savage with Accu-trigger. They make a good base for a "custom" gun too should you want to tinker with it later on.

If you put in for leftovers before the acceptance date, you won't get a tag.

I believe this issue has to go to the State Capital for final approval, right? So, perhaps the NEW Gov would be a good person to contact? Perhaps the State's Attorney, your local Representative, etc. I was reading the bio's of the current commissioners today. It would not surprise me if at least 2 of them, maybe 3, do not even own an AZ hunting license.

This is the 1st year with no December archery hunt in 22, yet we are not even going to allow the effect of that change to be evaluated before instituting this rule? What if the archery harvest drops 30% just because of the no December hunting change? Hunters are a lot more selective in Jan as opposed to December. In December, the tag is getting close to expiring and "any deer will do" mentallity takes over. In Jan, you still have the fall hunts and the deer tag drawing to take into account before deciding if the deer in front of you is worth a full year of no deer hunting. Also, there is much crowding of deer at Game and Fish built water tanks, especially in the desert units, as there is at a salt block, don't you think? So, how does the CWD issue effect salt/bait but not water? The fact that G&F has spent all this time and effort writing this new rule BEFORE asking for comment, tells me it's a done deal and the public input phase is just a dog and pony show.

The bachelor herd of 3 bucks I have been watching since June have broken up. I got one on camera, by himself, 4 or 5 times over the last 3 weeks. Then, today, I got a pic of one of the the other bucks, with a doe.
