You do not have to go to the office. Just call and the person you are talking to can view a copy of your app and tell you the problem. My son's app was rejected even though the SS# he put down was correct. The person entering the data mis-read a 4 instead of a 9. They gave him a tag.

Wake up. America is bankrupt. "fees" are going to skyrocket on everything, not just tags. It has nothing to do with game management or anything except trying to pay for big gov't. G&F will take in this money and the the State will sweep it into the general fund eventually. We have much bigger problems than this right now. 1 of every 5 adults will be out of work by the end of the year. With income tax revenue being cut dramatically, Gov't will have to get their $ from other "taxes". fees for all permits, inspections, etc will be going up. Look for USFS fees to go up, more gas taxes, new fees to use your public land. We have already seen it. Tonto Pass, ATV licensing, increase in permit fees to access state trust land, etc. Most if not all of this money will end up at the state Capital.

1. Use top quality batteries. 2. Use as big of a memory card as your cam will take. Cards are cheap now. 3. Wear rubber gloves and try not to spread your scent all over the area. Get in and out as fast as possible. 4. take some tree steps with you. Get your cam up about 10' high. very unlikley that someone will see it up there and if they do, they probably won't be able to reach it. Hide the steps nearby so that you can use them to service your camera. 5. a little peanut butter on a tree or bush, in front of your cam, will get the animal to stop for a moment and give your camera a chance to snap off some good close ups.

I learned my lesson about checking the cams too often. The deer get your scent too often, especially old bucks, and they go away or go nocturnal real fast. I only check mine once per month now, wear gloves, and try not to touch any trees or bushes when crossing any trails and get in and get out as fast as possible.
