I'd love to have one of these that read Arizona instead of Idaho.

Happy Birthday...Guy On Bike.

Prayers sent. What a way to go. God's last earthly gift to him, IMO. My fear is that I will die at my desk at work.

You ever try the Wolf Helper? Not bad for a box dinner. Works good for Condor too.

Maybe a lot of used EL's will go on the market now?

You have to experiment with different bullets and powder charges. Has little to do with your cleaning procedure as long as you do clean it consistently I always got the best results from dead center bullets too. 250-350 grains flew best. Anything lighter than 250 would not give good results for me. Make sure you are seating the bullet against the pellets, but not so hard that you crush them.

You do not need to leave the "package" attached to the hide. Your tag is for an antlered deer, not a male deer. Skin the deer on the spot if you are packing it whole, that's what the game bag is for. Why pack another 10 lbs of useless hide? I never pack rain gear on an early hunt either. It's going to be warm. You might be praying for rain by the end of the day.

yeah but its a savage I grew up hearing nothing good about savage and have a hard time looking at one. I agree they seem to have gotten their stuff together the last few years. A lot of long range shooters are now building off the Savage action.

Winchester's new Model 70 is pretty slick. Nice trigger. Nice stock. Savage with the new Accustock and Accutrigger is a great value. Easier to customize than a Rem 700 too. Sako has a neat new rifle too. S7 I think it's called.

Yes! Let's make that a permanent ruling. We have a enough freakin rules as it is.

I hope you know that I was just givin' GH some sarcastic crap.

Is this ethical. Using satelites, computers, the internet, hand held electronic talking devises, etc to relay bullet trajectories to hunters in the field? Now, before you all get your thongs in a knot, I know this is not nearly as techy and advanced as dropping a block of salt on the ground, but still....have some pride.

Me too. I'll give you $40 to do the front and back twice per month. My yard is small, but weeds grow fast. I live in Gilbert at Germann and Higley.

I didn't know you had to wear blaze orange on your face in Colorado.

You can get gun insurance through the NRA. Some home owners insurance companies will cancel your policy if they know you have guns in the house.

So man made sounds are not an attractant, but salt is. Gotcha. What about a g&F trick tank in an area that would otherwise have no water. Fair or not?
-
so, using a cow call to lure in a rutting bull elk is not fair chase either? What about a deer grunt or rattling horns?By doing so, you are altering his natural behavior and using a sound as an attractant.

I don't think you are supposed to sight in the first crosshairs dead on at 100 yards. Depending on the caliber, you should be 1" to 1.5" high at 100. That's the way my Burris works anyway.
