Curious as to why there is a 1/2 circle cut out of the forward edge of the blade. Weight reduction? Just wondering of that might catch on the screen mesh if shooting from a blind.

    ocelot found near Globe

Here we go. How long before this leads to more closed off areas. Arizona Game and Fish collects ocelot found dead near Globe April 23, 2010 The Arizona Game and Fish Department yesterday collected a dead, intact carcass of a cat resembling an ocelot, a rare small to medium-sized cat that is listed as a federally endangered species. The animal reportedly was accidentally hit and killed by a motorist on Sunday, April 18 on Highway 60 between Superior and Globe. In cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), the Department is in the process of shipping the carcass to the Service’s national forensics laboratory located in Ashland, Oregon, where it will undergo testing to determine if the cat is actually an ocelot of wild origin. “Currently, we have no reason to suspect that this is anything other than a wild, naturally occurring ocelot and genetic analysis should help with verification,” said Eric Gardner, the Department nongame and endangered species program lead. “Although not legal to possess in Arizona under most circumstances, ocelots are actually fairly common in the pet trade and genetic testing may help us determine its origin or if this was a captive-raised animal.” Coincidently, The Sky Island Alliance, a Tucson-based non-governmental organization, last week announced that a volunteer citizen naturalist had retrieved an image of an ocelot from one of the Alliance’s remote cameras placed in Cochise County. The image was dated November 7, 2009. Sky Island Alliance has not yet publicly released the photo. There have been only a handful of verified ocelot sightings backed up by specimens or photos in Arizona. The species has not been documented in Arizona since 1964 and historical records are very rare. Investigations of the occasional sightings reported since 1964 have often determined that a bobcat had been misidentified as an ocelot, despite the significant difference in tail length between the two species. Ocelots are small to medium-sized spotted cats with a long tail. They tend to be smaller in the more northerly parts of their range than in the central or southern areas of occurrence. Their upper body coloring is highly variable ranging from grayish to cinnamon, or tawny to reddish brown, with dark markings forming chainlike streaks (generally forming black-bordered elongated spots that are more nearly stripes than spots) down the sides. Their present range is in the eastern and western lowlands of Mexico, from southern Mexico through Central America, and in the lowland areas of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil. On the fringes of their range, they occupy a very limited region in both the United States (a remnant population exists in southern Texas) and Argentina. The ocelot was listed in the U.S. as a federally endangered species in 1982. The Arizona Game and Fish Department prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age, or disability in its programs and activities. If anyone believes that they have been discriminated against in any of the AGFD’s programs or activities, including employment practices, they may file a complaint with the Director's Office, 5000 W. Carefree Highway, Phoenix, AZ 85086-5000, (602) 942-3000, or with the Fish and Wildlife Service, 4040 N. Fairfax Dr. Ste. 130, Arlington, VA 22203. Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation or this document in an alternative format by contacting the Director's Office as listed above. You Stated: From where I sit, you are the one profiting from the illegals, and you are bragging about it. Before college I worked construction (lathing), trimmed trees and worked fast food, now those jobs are not done by high school kids or college kids anymore. Why is that? Maybe people like you hire illegals and the kids dont feel like the fit in. Just sayin My answer: How are college kids suppose to work from 5am 3 pm everyday in landscaping. Yes I am profiting from Illegals, but not bragging about it, I am saying give me some legit white guys that want to do the work. Kids dont fit in because they cant work like illegals. Like I said I am hiring. I am sure out of the 4,000 CWT members one member wants a job. Let me repeat I am hiring, you can all start tomorrow. I bet I dont get one member to apply. MY POINT EXACTLY. I will give everyone a starting bonus of $500.00 and will raise your rate to $12.00/ hr. Any takers???? why do they have to be "white guys"? Can't they be LEGAL hispanics (or white, asian, african american, etc etc etc)? I think what you are saying is that that ALL LEGAL people don't want to work? If you know that these people are forging Gov't documents (fake SS #'s) you are breaking the law.

By the way.....if you are only paying $7.00 / hr you're breaking the minimum wage law too. Too cheap to spare the extra $0.25 per hour?

Yeah, so you are innocent in the whole deal right? Pay a decent wage, you won't have to hire criminals.

It's illegal to hire illegals. Illegal means illegal, right? If companies hire illegals, they should be held to the standard of the law, just the same as those crossing the border illegally. We can't say enforce the existing laws aimed against crossing the border and ignore the laws against hiring. If you know of a company with 600 illegals working for them, do America a favor and turn them in. There will be 600 more applicants for those empty jobs tomorrow morning. Unemployment is high, in case you did not know. That company will not have any problem filling those jobs. No one is asking corporate America to do the job of the Feds, they are being asked to abide by the law of not hiring those they should not be hiring. The Feds job, which they are not doing, is to guard the border. The border patrol and coast guard should be 100% funded for what ever they need before "healthcare for everyone", rebuilding Iraq, extending more food stamps, farm subsidies, etc etc. Please, don't insult us by telling us you can't tell who is illegal. If they don't have drivers license and insurance and don't speak at least a little English, 99% chance they don't have a valid SS or green card either. But, it sure is easy to just say "I didn't know" when that person is willing to work for cash at below minimum wage. How convenient.

I agree and that is the problem. The FEDS were not enforcing their own laws. Some of this new STATE law is written word for word exactly as the fed law, so that state LE can enforce it. The FEDS love to tell everyone what to do, when and how to do it...but they won't do the one thing the Constitution empowers them to do and that is protect the borders.

The best way to stop it is to go after those businesses that hire them and make it WAY more expensive if they get caught. IF no one is hiring illegals, the amount crossing over will dwindle. Use the military / border patrol / local and state police to go after the druggies. What really gets me is, we will vote for more taxes to build a billionaires a place for their teams to play games, but if there were a tax proposal for building a 40ft high, patrolled and guarded wall from San Diego to Texas no one would vote for it.
