Long range, starting from scatch
DesertBull replied to Coach's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
You are not locked into one altitude or load with turrets. -
Throw the tape measure in the trash and have an awesome hunt.

I put medium WARNE rings with a picatanny rail on my 700. I think the mediums are too high and will probably change them to lows. I have the Vortex with 30MM tube with the 50MM objective.

Vortex is giving away free calibrated turrets on monstermuleys.

Uh, no they are not. they have been mired in "stagflation" for decades.

A few years ago my friend and I had the Nov ML'er elk tag in unit 6A. One afternoon we went to Clints Wells to get some gas and there was a family there that had a flat bed trailer loaded with two WHOLE elk. Guts and all. And headed to the valley. There was a refrigerated meat truck at Clints Well, but they would not gut the elk for them. yahoos didn't want to or know how to even get the guts out. It's a miracle they knew which end of the gun the bullets exit from. I swear there were 10,000 flies on each elk. Yummy.

I had a DVD from a well known guide in Utah. On one hunt they bow killed an absolute MONSTER bull in the middle of the afternoon. Must have been warm because no one was wearing a jacket. The head honcho guide was in a different area and they showed the guide that was in on the kill calling him to tell him to come check it out. Next scene it is pitch black and they are scoring the bull by flashlight. They zoom out a little and you can see that the bull was still not field dressed. They get the score and start screamin and hollerin like they just won the Power Ball. NExt scene - it's daylight and the bull is still on the ground and has STILL not been field dressed, skinned...nuthin. I threw the **** in the garbage. Wonder why no G&F dudes questioned him on the waste of meat?

Funny that the tofu crowd are quick to point out that the buffalo are not genetically pure, but never will admit to the wolves having the same trait.

Questions for all you successful bear hunters
DesertBull replied to CritterGitter's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
If you can glass one in the morning and watch where it goes to lay up for the day, he'll likely come out somewhere near there in the evening. That would give you time to get close and wait. They seem to come out earlier than you would think. Sometimes as early as 3:00 pm. They will also hit a secluded water hole midday to swim and cool off, especially if it's in the bottom of a nasty canyon. -
Holy crap. If I knew they would still be there in October, I would buy a tag.
-
So.....who won the Black Canyon 500 on Sunday?

The BCS just shat a brick. They will have to share title game money with a non-BCS school if BSU runs the table. GOOD!

Your images are still on the card until you overwrite them with something else. Google "memory card recovery" and you will find software that can recover your photos. Hope you can post up some pics of the toad licker that messed with your camera http://www.google.com/search?q=memory+card...lient=firefox-a
