I have friends in California that have drawn Henry Mnt Mule deer, Monroe archery elk and Bookcliffs ML muledeer with very few points. Utah, like AZ, at least gives you a chance to draw. RMG are much more realistic than sheep. Utah's goat herds are growing. They are increasing tags, but the point creep still happens. A lot of people just buy points, then jump in once they get a decent amount accumulated. Utah, Nevada, Colorado and Idaho (no points that I am aware of) are your best chance at drawing a RMG tag. Realistically, you are probably looking at at least 10 years for a tag. Next year will be my 10th in Utah. Colorado has a 3 year buffer period. You must get 3 points before you are even entered in the draw. Wish I would have started in Colorado the same time I started in UT.

It's getting expensive just to buy points anymore. Most states make you buy a license and pay a non refundable processing fee. Colorado and Utah are the cheapest. It's aggravating when you think you are close and the points keep creeping up. The whole point thing is a scam to begin with. It's like crack. They get you started for cheap then raise the price and cost once you're hooked.

In your opinion - who makes the best wall tent?

Have the same one. Works great with the "buddy" propane heater. Can set it up by myself in 15-20 minutes. -
Welcome to my world.

Sounds like they knew what was in the house. Who carries a torch around with them that is capable of cutting though a safe.

breaking in a barrel

 http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f17/my-smallest-3-shot-group-35175/index6.html start reading at comment #40 and make sure your read #45. Not only are TOP shooters and gunsmiths not breaking in barrels, they are cleaning their barrels every 200-300 shots. -
DesertBull did you go for the nanny hunt again? I was surprised that they doubled the number of goat tags in that unit but still only had two nr nanny tags. With only one bonus tag it only takes one 10 point guy to jump ship to gobble it up. Good luck to you Yes. Last year 7 points drew the tag. I had 9 going into this years draw. They doubled the NR billy tags. It's kind of strange that they stop taking apps before they announce the number of tags.

The better be still processing payments because I have MORE than enough points to draw my tag.

Mr. Jon- there is a great article on barrel break in on riflemansjournal. i have three rem 700 7mm mags. most important is to adjust the trigger, and mount a leup scope ; next is good ammo. DESERT - if you ever shot against German Salazar; you would have to believe He know rifle barrels. ron I DO believe. I was just laughing because I know the "article" you were referring to. -

It's a lot easier if you take some bailing wire and zip ties to attach and hold the brush to your blind. Those tie things on the blind are a joke. I also take some shears and/ or a small saw. Make sure you get on top, behind and on the sides of the blind too because it helps keep light out of the small openings. The less "blind" they see the better. They ain't DUM. After you get it set up, get all the rocks and sticks out and put a blanket, old sleeping bag, etc down. It will help a whole lot with sound. It's best if the ground cloth is bigger than the footprint of the blind so that you can use it to seal around the edges between the blind and ground. Keeps light out and your scent and your sound in. Keep the fewest amount of windows open that you can. I usually try to just have 1 or 2 open.

Millions and millions of people from all over the world have come here LEGALLY. There is no excuse for anyone to sneak over here illegally. Get in line and wait your turn. If I had immigrated legally from another country and the Gov't decided to let all the ones that came over illegally get a free pass, I would be TICKED OFF. Now the moron in the White House says we need to INCREASE our foreign aid to muslim countries so they will stop hating us. Yeah...that's a fricken genius move.

We should create a pathway to citizenship. That will stop all illegal immigration.

Ever heard of unlawful search and seizure? You must have a warrant or REASONABLE suspicion before apprehending a person, let alone pointing a loaded weapon at them. Would you allow them to walk into your house without a warrant because they knew you had a gun? You also have the right to be told what you're being held for, and no, telling you to the SHUT THE **** UP, is not a reason to be held. -

In a related story, the Indiana Supreme Court ruled that a citizen cannot resist UNLAWFUL entry into their home by the police. I guess it's good to know that if we ever run out of toilet paper, we can use the Constitution. -

Cabelas Bighorn or Alaknak. Way easier to set up. Weighs WAY less. No big poles to deal with. Synthetic material will be more resistant to water and mold damage. Optional vestibules for storage, cooking, etc. Their stove sucks, but the tent is tops. -
He played that bluff perfect.

They didn't need the killing of their Holy Goat Roper to be a reason to attack. If they were still capable of pulling off another 9/11, they would have attempted it. That's why we need to keep pounding them.

Arizona and Texas have NO cases of of CWD. Both have allowed deer baiting for DECADES. In fact, the some of the states hardest hit by CWD have had bait bans FOR DECADES. Find another reason to ban it because that one don't fly.

I don't think there are any units where the AVERAGE bull is 330. Maybe if you say the average mature 6 point or better bull is 330, there MIGHT be some validity, but even that is a stretch.

Let me see if I got this right. The Obama administration wants the western states to manage the grey wolf on their own but we can't manage our own imigration problem? TJ Wolves don't vote
