J104 When you have it all zipped up and straps tightened, it's smaller than my Badlands daypack. I've used it as carry on for several flights and it fits in the overhead just fine. A few quick adjustments and it's a full sized meat hauler. I need to send it in to Eberlestock and get some stitching and a buckle replaced but I've had it for at least 6 or maybe 7 years.

I've been cleaning my rifles with a nylon brush for awhile. Just seems like a safer way to go on an expensive, hand lapped, custom barrel. Not so sure anymore. It takes a lot more scrubbing with the nylon brush to get out copper fouling and you have to let harsh chemicals stay in your barrel longer too. Today, I scrubbed with the nylon and just could not get all the copper out. Two passes with the bronze brush and it was clean.

That is my thought too. Do you think "crud" can get embedded in a carbon fiber rod if the rod never touches the bore?

Try going a little higher. While Coues do hang out in lower elevations,(mesquite, saguaro, palo verde) the higher concentrations will be above 3500 ft and in the juniper, oaks, pines. They also tend to favor rougher terrain than desert mule deer. Deep canyons, steep and long ridges, etc.

Ben Avery is 200 yards on the public range. Might as well just grit your teeth and go to usery. I heard Usery closed the 300 yard targets because they called the range clear when someone was in between the 200 and 300 yard berms. Dude had to hide behind the berm like Tom Hanks invading France.

Is there anywhere, besides the range, that is open to shoot right now? USFS lands are closed to shooting. What about state land?

Unit 10 is huge with a lot of private land, much of it posted. There are a lot of antelope, but many will be on private land. Many will be in thicker J/P areas where you won't see them unless you get out (and UP) and glass the pockets. Never had much luck with cams and goats. Too many cattle in most places and if you put it on a water tank....kiss it goodbye before you leave it. Unit 10 MUST be scouted if you are looking for a big'un.
