Does Hunting Harvest Affect Horn and Antler Size?
DesertBull replied to azmetalman's topic in The Campfire
less quality habitat. Notice they did not take into account whitetail deer, which are more adaptable and actually benefit from agriculture. They only studied mountain animals. -

That is exactly what it is about I'm just saying that their excuse of elk and antelope eating all of the grass is easily rebuked.

Open your gates during hunting season and maybe you won't have as many elk on your land. Duh!

American Sniper
DesertBull replied to DesertBull's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
From the patriot post Chris Kyle, RIP Former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, a Patriot from Texas and author of the outstanding book, "American Sniper," was killed Saturday while assisting fellow veterans suffering from PTSD. Chris served with the SEAL Team 3 Sniper Element Charlie platoon, and was the most lethal sniper in U.S. history, with 160 confirmed kills and another 95 probables. He was known to his enemies as Al-Shaitan Ramad (The Devil of Ramadi). In 2008, near Sadr City, Chris neutralized an RPG-carrying insurgent at more than 2,000 meters with his Lapua Magnum .338 PGM. During his four combat tours, Chris was shot twice and survived six IED explosions. He left military service three years ago after earning two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars with Valor, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and one Navy and Marine Corps Commendation. He has devoted much of the last three years to working with fellow vets suffering from PTSD. Chris leaves behind his wife Taya, two children, and a long list of family and friends. He was a tireless defender of Liberty and the Second Amendment, and he will be sorely missed. -
Don't Lie for the Other Guy

NEWTOWN, Conn. -- As part of an ongoing national effort to help prevent illegal "straw" purchases of firearms, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, is reminding the public along the Southern border in Texas and Arizona that stiff penalties are in place for individuals convicted of such purchase StIff penalties? There is a guy sitting on the panel to reduce gun violence who was involved in 100's of these transactions. -
American Sniper

How many here have read (or in my case listen to) the book? No doubt a Brave man and a great American warrior. HATS OFF! However, there are parts of the book I am a little uncomfortable with. It might have been more "publisher" demands but I have a problem with a person wanting to go to war and enjoying shooting another human. Again, this is most likely the publisher demanding gore to sell books. please DO NOT TAKE THIS AS A FORM OF BASHING THIS MAN. Just interested in your thoughts on this. -
1. Did anyone else get a little uneasy when the power went off? In the back of my mind, I was thinking......diaper head with a pipe bomb. 2. Jim Harbaugh is a douche baG.

Obama is already bribing pro gun dems with promises of key commitee positions and other perks. Remember when they said that the stimulus would never pass and then the socialized medicine would never pass? At the very least we are probably getting another AWB.

Maybe there is mud in both barrels? We can only hope.

You don't support the people with Rainbow stickers? What people do in their own house is their own business, but the guy was forced to apologize for speaking the truth. All in the name of P.C. That I despise.

Actually, I believe this is just what the Socialist wanted. Notice in the article that are saying they are afraid of spending cuts that are scheduled to take place this year....never let a crisis go to waste. We can't go on with theses cuts because we'll start a recession. More Obamaphones and gov't checks for everyone!!!!!

That cannot be true, It is illegal to take a gun outside of your house in chicago. No way anyone could get shot standing on the street. They must have shot her from Iowa or Indiana.

They got a camera from me up their last year too and one near there, but closer to the highway. It cost them more in gas to drive up there and get them than it would have cost them to stop at BPS on the way and pick up a new one. Thieves are a special kind of stupid.

WOW, I guess since his buddy Ted Kennedy died he now hangs out with gun grabber extraordinaire Chuck and Duck Schumer. They teamed up for a new amnesty bill. McLame needs to retire.
