Any Preppers out there?
DesertBull replied to Coach's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
My prepping consist of Trying like heck to move out of here. Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rico, Panama, Grenada, etc. Wish that I had started years ago when prices were dirt cheap. With thousands of Americans fleeing to these places every year the prices are rising fast. -
Don't know. I guess I could squeeze at least two dead bodies in there if I sawed them up.

The NPS is shutting down parks and memorials that are never staffed. Some of them are totally funded by private donations but lease land from the Feds. Bet ya Obamas golf courses are open for business though.

If that were an elk or deer you would not be able to legally posses it. Is it different with fur bearers? Have no idea just curious.

You cannot have an effective gov't that is $20 TRILLION in debt and asking for more. One day the countries we borrow from are going to say enough...we are not giving you anymore and you need to pay us back what you owe. Then see what happens. It will make the sequester seem like a windfall. We will be third world. There will be no gov't for all intense and purposes.
-
We cannot keep borrowing money so that we can keep people working for the Gov't.
-
I have an unused BPS $500 gift card. $440. I won't take less or trades. Need cash for new tires.
-
What should scare anyone, liberal, conservative or moderate, is that this Government cannot operate a single day without borrowed money, even though revenues are at record levels.

7mm Mag Loads. Updated with hunt story!
DesertBull replied to outdoor rush's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I use FED but I'm sure the CCI's are fine. I am going to step down from the 215M to the regular large rifle primers. I think the mag primers might be overkill with <70 grains of powder. -

Kind of depends on if you have powder or not. If you don't it will be difficult locate. You might be able to find some R22 or R25 or ramshot magnum. The Hodgdon powders are hard to come by but it seems to be getting better. -

Down goes Bloomberg! Giron, Morse lose big in Colorado recall By BearingArms.com Staff / 10 September 2013/ 6 comments Gun-grabbing Senate President John Morse and Senate Senator Angela Giron have both been defeated in a stunning, first-of-of-its-kind recall in Colorado. The loss is not only a stunning defeat for Colorado Democrats, who will now hold just a razor-thin margin in the state senate but also crushing blow to the nationwide gun control movement. It was Giron that framed the importance of the recall last week. ”For Mayors Against Illegal Guns, if they even lose one of these seats, they might as well fold it up. And they understand that.” Morse and Giron lost even after anti-gun forces outspent the recall effort by roughly 6-to-1, including hundreds of thousands of dollars contributed by Mayor Mike Bloomberg himself and an unknown amount of support from MAIG. Is gun control really dead? Probably not. But Bloomberg’s political power to dictate policy outside of the northeast has be dealt a severe blow, and it may be a long time before gun control supporters in other parts of the country will risk their futures with a gun control group that very well make have peaked in its power.
