There will be at least 4 of us. Looking to go in late July or early August. Main goal is coolers full of fillets. Thanks for the info. I was thinking if we hit up Kodiak I could sneak in a deer hunt. are there any roadside spots on the drive between Anchorage and Homer?

The BLM is giving up...for now.

They are not to cater to Harry Reid and his Chinese friends. This has ZERO to do with freakin grazing fees. You don't surround a man with tanks and militarized "land managers" over fees. All of the other ranchers that were there decades before Nevada was even a state were run off by Reid. This is 200% on Harry Reid and his solar investments. Doesn't take much effort to realize this. It's public record. Or at least it was until the BLM started removing documents with Reid's links.

Understood. Thanks to the spotted cat it is likely to stay that way forever.

New reloading store in Tucson, AZ
DesertBull replied to dutchman195's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Pretty tough to run a reloading shop in this climate. No powder, limited primers and bullets. -

Well well.....guess who is heavily invested solar energy and needs a place to plant his panels? Sen Harry Reid (d) Nevada. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-04-03/solar-jobs-join-harry-reid-to-chinese-billionaire-in-price-drop.html A Chinese billionaire is teaming up with the most powerful man in the U.S. Senate to build a solar plant in a dusty corner of Nevada, even as officials accuse China of driving energy companies out of business by dumping cheap components on the American market. ENN Group (ENNGZ) plans a manufacturing and generating facility worth $5 billion, more than all Chinese investment in the U.S. combined last year, in Laughlin, Nevada, a town pockmarked with foreclosed properties and the skeleton of a 14-story resort abandoned when the project went bankrupt. Company founder Wang Yusuo, one of China’s richest men, has joined with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to win incentives including land 113 miles (182 kilometers) southeast of Las Vegas that ENN is buying for $4.5 million, or less than one-eighth of the $38.6 million assessors say it is worth. The project has produced legal work for Reid’s son, Rory, a lawyer at a Las Vegas firm that gave the Nevada Democrat more than $40,000 in the past three election cycles. “This is counter to most logic,” said Thomas Maslin, an analyst at IHS Emerging Energy Research in Washington, D.C. “It doesn’t make sense in terms of supply and demand. The likely rationale is that because they’re building on public land they need to justify somehow the price through job creation and high- tech manufacturing.”

Fracking and cattle can co-exist. Funny that the Bundy's have been on that land running cattle since the 1800's and the turtle is still there. Bet you once the Bundy's are removed, and they will be removed, solar and wind farms will magically appear. oh...and did you know they are killing the same turtles they are supposedly trying to protect? According to an article dated 8/25/13, in the Las Vegas Huffington Post, because of a lack of Federal funding the Desert Tortoise Conservation Center can no longer care for the turtles that they've been caring for since the animals were added to the endangered species list in 1990 and, as a result, "...Officials expect to euthanize more than half the animals in the coming months in preparation for closure at the end of 2014." "...the pampered desert dweller now faces a threat from the very people who have nurtured it."

During a hearing this week, a congressman flat out told Eric Holder to his face, "You belong in prison".

Did you notice that the USFWS says the open corridors between Mexico and the US is critical? Which means no fences / walls.

Which would you prefer? One of the left over L.O. Tags or the Camp Verde OTC? There are left over tags for the limited Opp hunts Peaks in 7e and units 4 and 5. I've not hunted any of the limited Opp or an OTC tag
-
Yeah, I know they go quick. I don't really NEED an elk tag, I'm 100% sure I can get a left over deer tag if I don't draw. I also am waiting on the UT draw results. I'm finally getting to the point where I have a shot at a Mnt goat or Book Cliffs deer tag.

I wish they would just sell all the tags first come / first served. I would pay a bum to camp out in front of G$F to hold my spot.

In honesty, it was not a tracking bracelet he mentioned. It was a device that would not allow the gun to be fired unless the shooter was wearing the bracelet. Equally dumb however.

Saw this yesterday. This is coming from the same guy lost track of how many hundreds of guns and still refuses give the documents to congress even under contempt?
