tire pressure maxes on tires are max for a cold air rating. they can safely hold quite a bit more. being a gas motor id run 70 rear and 60 front. start getting any heavier 80 rears 70 fronts

    anybody here rebuild motors?

a couple months ago i had my motor seize in my truck. it was my fault should have been more careful. had my check oil light come on and figured i was only a few minutes outside of payson and thought that id be ok to make it into town since oil pressure was fine. then oil pressure dropped to zero and motor killed. got into town and found oil had been leaking while driving on the highway and motor had locked up. i have been waiting on a guy to pull a motor out of another vehicle so i could buy it off of him and im tired of waiting. id rather do a complete rebuild if i can but i havent had time to break into the motor and see whats broke and locked up. with a recent promotion at work combined with school i dont have time to drop a new motor in or rebuild it. so if someone in the valley does this and wants some side work id love to talk and give my money to the cwt crowd. i can tow it to you, but id rather stay within a 30 minute drive of my house in central mesa if i can. if not no big deal, its a 2005 silverado 5.3 ltr. shoot me a pm or text 480-284-33six9

    anybody here rebuild motors?

so rebuild is probably not worth doing, and just finding a used motor would be a better option. i had plans of getting rid of the truck and getting into something new till this happened. ill probably keep it for a while longer if i have to get a crate motor to put into it. was looking on craigslist for a used motor and there isnt much out there. everything is from 03 and older, thats when they started changing egr and from cable to wire fed throttle right? would i be able to get a motor from 2000-2003 and basically be able to drop in, or would that be more of a hassle than its worth? i havent been able to call any shops just yet.

Anyone running the new NITTO Terra Grappler G2's

actually a tire can cause a vehicle to pull, its called a radial pull. the belt package inside can sometimes start to slide to one side causing it to want to pull one way or the other. if the pull followed a specific tire that is probably the problem. PRDATR come see me again when your ready and i can hook you up. i like the nitto g2's, but i do favor toyo over nitto, toyo makes nitto but toyo is a little harder rubber, last a little longer. but like averagejoe said the new KO2's are sweet, only heard good things about them so far but they are somewhat new on the market.

    Unit 22 Flat line maps

you have to buy both maps to get all of 22 south... i ran into the same problem and had to buy both. i emailed them and the lady i talked to said 22 had too many canyons to get clear resolution on the map and fit all of 22 south on there.

  10. im still finishing my final load with the 230s out of my ultra, but i have a few buddies who shoot them and they say they arent near as sensitive with seating depth as the non-hybrids. 2 of them have them loaded at max box length so they dont have to use it as a single shot and are still getting 1/4-1/2 moa groups
  11. i won one of his trips when i was 16 in a guess the score contest on an elk rack... my dad, uncle, and i went and it was a blast! we caught 120+ stripers and 30 or so catfish. whoever wins try to pick a night there is no moon or as close to that as possible! ill see if i can find some pics from our trip to post up

    Ethics

CnS , you and Shane must have selective reading ... See I would not take something abandoned, but I would let the proper LEO know and I have watched them remove trailers that have sat unattended for weeks trying to secure a site for an upcoming hunt. Just because I do not empathize with those of you who gamble and lose when leaving stuff out on our public lands does not make me one of the people who take stuff... I actually just do not care that much. I would go the route I almost did a couple years ago and may go ahead and do this year ... and that is to create a website publishing GPS coordinates to every stand, cam, blind and honey hole I find in the units I hunt and hike ( I have a pretty good list in some of the more popular units) ... I will make sure to share the link when I get it up and running! p.s. CnS when I exceed the speed limit I do not cry when I get caught and given a ticket, even if I was not more than 10 mph over... see that is what taking a gamble may give you in the end. Actions and Consequences ... Make a poor decision and lose that is your fault ... I do not trust enough to leave $$$$ laying unattended in the forests for too long, and the way many of you talk with the thousands of nights of camp set up in my life I must be dang lucky not to never have anything taken. so because you dont agree with people putting ground blinds or stands out early to get deer used to them, and that person maybe not being able to get back out soon enough to your standards to retrieve them, they deserve to be taken either by an LEO or thief?? and people hanging cams you are going to go as far as posting a website for people to see the locations of them? i would imagine your website would do the exact opposite of what you want, which would be more people lag bolting and chaining cams to trees, to make it harder on would be thieves that check your website you plan to make, to steal cams, blinds, stands, etc... seems counter productive to me.

    Changing a tire

discount tire does free flat repairs even if you didnt buy tires from them. just put your spare on and drive in to a discount if you have one close to you. and they are honest and wont try to sell you a tire if you dont truly need one, just because you had a flat.

    17wsm for javalina?

i dropped a coyote at 325 yds with my 17wsm... he didnt move an inch after i hit him. i still think a 17wsm will be plenty for a pig. especially with how easy it is to get close to them. i only archery hunt them, but if they make it legal, i will have friends and family who hunt pigs with rifles use it.

    rut

smaller bucks were pushing does this morning, and a small 4 pt was pushing does for a few minutes till the sun came out. then he left them and bedded down, no serious rut action from what ive seen yet. and quite a few does without any bucks in tow still

    17wsm for javalina?

it is not. i talked to a game warden about this last pig season to see if a buddy of mine could use my 17 wsm to shoot his pig. the game warden said no because it is a 17 caliber, although he aggreed it would be plenty for a pig, the regs say nothing under 22 caliber
  23. Keep your eyes on the does though, i have seen alot of big bucks cruise by and check a herd for a hot doe, and if one isnt hot, or close to being hot, they keep moving to the next herd, and usually go through a circuit checking for hot does. i have seen solid bucks stay with does in december, but from what i have witnessed the real big boys bounce from herd to herd until they find a hot doe

Opinions wanted on Heavy duty trucks

i know this exhaust fluid is in the fords as well. i drive a 2012 6.7 ltr ford as a company vehicle. its not as big a hassle as it seems, although it does get annoying. there is a message that comes on the dash telling you when you have 500 miles left before you run out, and then the truck wont go over 50 mph i think, but dont quote me on the speed. it is a solid truck with plenty of power, even with a utility bed full of tools and roof rack for garage doors on it. some of the guys have had their new fords in the shop a few times, and havent reached 100k yet on the mileage, im not sure what for, but i can find out.
