my jr cow hunt started this morning and im stuck at home because i have work tomorrow.... i woke up thinking about all the lucky kids about to pull the trigger on one. but its ok cause we went late last year and there was noone else around

i was in the same general area.... shot 6 birds and my dad got 6. our usual spot didnt have covies more than 20 birds. only 2 covies with about that many. but we are going out again tomorrow. so we didnt try too hard

called a g&f friend of mine and he says they changed the rules... dont have to be 10 to graduate from it. just have to be 10 before your allowed to hunt. so you can take it when your nine and when you turn ten start hunting. whether its in the middle of the hunt or not. just so long as he is 10 years old when he or she pulls the trigger

i was at this last year just for fun. we all had a great time! i even won a 22 mag in a raffle! i shot a decent 3x3 muley. if your youth has this hunt take them to the camp! they will have a great time

if i were you i would go with bob/arltette henderson. they are great people and have some extremely nice dogs. unless you find a real nice litter i would wait for bob and arlette. and if you dont know much about training pick there brains. arlette taught me A TON about bird dogs

i figured it out, and i had my die set too deep, i was making it so i ran it past the belt on the bullet, and i guess it was doing something. got it so i wasnt doing that and everything is working out perfect! thanks for the input!

reloading question. so i reloaded some ammo and shot it, found a decent load, and was going from there. well today i was working up some more and when i had seated the bullet it wouldnt fit in the gun. it would go until i could almost close the bolt. so i could push it far enough in until it was time to push the bolt down. nothing changed since i had last reloaded, except i noticed some of the brass were 300 mag, not 300 win mag. idk if there is a difference but i would resize and everything would fit good, but everytime i seated the bullet it would no longer fit in the gun well enough to close the bolt. so could seating a bullet on a 300 magnum not a 300 win mag mess up my die? and i would check if the brass would fit before seating the bullet, everything was fine, seat the bullet-not work-, then take the bullet out the brass and it still wouldnt work. i was doing this with just 300 win mag brass after i noticed some was 300 mag. but could anyone help me out? and maybe someone who does a lot of reloading could come and help me make sure my dies are set up correctly? thanks i appreciate any info/help. oh and i am in mesa

Yep, I saw you come in with the tire pressure gauge stuffed in your shirt! I think I felt more out of place in my wing-tip shoes, slacks, long-sleeve-shirt, and tie! I just got off work from my 5th grade teacher position. I did record the seminar and am considering transcribing some of his stories and posting them if anyone is interested. ditched school this a.m. to go archery deer hunting cause i couldnt stand the season bein open and not going. so me and a buddy from work took off and got to our new spot before dark. well when it was getting light we were stalking along when i notcied some coyotes playin around, joey(buddy from work) ranged them and said 43 yards, so i was gunna take a shot but i figured they dont know we are here lets neel down and call. so we nelt down and i lipsqueaked and all 6 came charging in. we drew down and they stopped broadside at about 10 yards, i was shaking so bad from adrenaline. i was waiting for joey to shoot but he didnt so i ripped a broadhead through one of the yotes and joey started following mine and then noticed all the blood pourin out and followed a different one, i would get one to stop and just before he could touch an arrow off they would move again so he never got a shot, but we went and grabbed my arrow and there was blood all over. we followed the blood trail about 30 yards and she was piled up so i got my first coyote! and with a bow! i was so pumped. they were all small, probably pups but i couldnt pass up a fawn killer. first_coyote_.bmp

i have the acadias and would prefer the vortex, ive put probably 40 hours of glassing behind them easy and my eyes dont get tired but im young. but they just dont seem to ever want to focus quite right, it will be clear in the very middle but not so much going on the outside rim. i can glass well with them but.... would prefer the vortex. jmo

haha houston put ours together and we have a full grown coyote! maybe we can figure out someway to sow them together
