i have the crossfire, because at the time it was what i could afford. but i would go with the viper if your looking to get one, the PST gets my vote, but i love mine, its the AO illuminated mildot 6-25x50, returns the zero every single time, very clear and gathers light really well. its pretty big especially with the sun shade but i still really like it. especially cant go wrong with vortex customer service and warranty

ya it is SFP. i will mil only if i dont have time to adjust my turrets. and the only other time i will use mils is for holding wind. so if i use mils for wind, my scope will have to be on 14x?
-
my vortex is at 14x, thats what they say to use for estimating ranges and hold over, so your saying it will change depending on range and what power the scope is at? ill plan on shooting a ton over summer so i can figure it out, i just wanted a starting point.

my grandpa just had a massive stroke so instead of them coming down to visit over spring break we are going up there. my gpa's favorite team is the cubs so we always get him spring training tickets. but we have no need for them now. they cost $28 each we would like to try to get $25 for them. we have 6 tickets for the Cubs vs Reds game on March 18th. they are great seats. section 203 row DD Seats 1-6

how do i remove rust from a barrel without removing the blueing? i let a buddy borrow one of my guns for his pig hunt up in the 18's. not sure which one. but it snowed and rained on them and he let some rust get on the barrel. its only about 2 inch long by max 1inch. but still dont want to remove any blueing. thanks

thanks i appreciate it a ton. we got some more details and his speech and memory is affected so that points to the right side of his brain. hopefully those are the only things that are affected.

when i was shooting bergers out of my 300 win i used RE-22. that worked really well, maybe you just need to try some different powders. but i love RE-22, i would give it a shot -
killed my pig on the archery hunt, lots of pigs in there, just gotta take your time. if you found fresh rooting you should stay in that area, there will definately be pigs close by. i found pigs were always somewhere within a few hundred yards of the fresh rooting i saw, no matter if it was a day or so old or not

my grandpa told me his grandpa or either great granpa, cant remember which one, killed one of the last bighorns off of camelback. too bad there wasnt conservation in mind back then

i am a youth as you look in your pic, but i wouldnt go with a 300 ultra mag, they are great guns but i weigh about 150 and my 300 win would pick me up with it. i could handle the kick of the gun fine, it didnt hurt, but i think i started to develop a flinch with it. if i was you i would put off being macho and a big gun and get something you can shoot all day long and accuratly at any range. just my $.02 sidenote: a 270 is a great rifle. ive killed 3 deer and 3 elk with one, farthest was 580 yds, and it dumped the elk. i am now shooting a 257 roberts which i am going to get bored into and AI soon. its a fun gun to shoot and i can shoot it all day long

happened to me too, but when i clicked on more info google said it was all clear, but then when also said it wasnt. confusing. works perfect now tho

one of my family friends is one of the nichols guides moms. she is an older lady that i used to mow her lawn, till i got to busy at discount tire. but her son guides for them. i hear lots of bear stories so they are a great service, i would definately hire them. -
i have some barely used rcbs dies, and about 15 bullets loaded up with 168 bergers. i would like to get $20. with prices for a box of 20 bullets being around $35-40 cant beat this deal.

just curious about twist rate in barrels, i know what it is and the 1:9 of 1:12 means. but is more twist always better? can there be too much twist for a barrel and it affect the bullet where its throwing sideways? i guess i would just kinda like insight to barrel twist rates, whats good what isnt.
