i found this while out scouting for my upcoming archery hunt in 19a today. from what i hear these are a rare find. im pretty excited about it.
-
not sure how much to get on to perkins but according to the map game and fish sent me, deep well is free just foot access and so is fain ranch. and also according to the map you cannot hunt granite dells but i think you can also pay the trespass fee at granite dells just like the perkins ranch( not sure though).

wow! what a stud buck! Those coues deer sure look pretty in the snow.

thanks for the reply's. mje1 to answer your quistion, the unit is a lot of private property, however some of the ranches that hold lots of antelope, will allow walk in only hunting. other ranches will ask you to pay a trespass fee. this information is true for the archery hunts, but i cannot speak for the rifle or muzzleloader. hope that helps.

check out the diamond razor edge. my wife shoots it and she is very accurate with it. it ranges from 30-70 lbs. so there is plenty of room to grow into it. I took her into cabelas and had her shoot it there. that was the first time she ever shot a bow in her life and after spending some time shooting it that day we were walking out of cabelas with a new bow. btw, it comes in pink camo so she may like that too.

Happy birthday! that cake is too cool!

those pics are amazing!!

I was at cabelas today picking up some arrows and as i was looking around i saw an antelope call that primos makes. ive heard of some people having some success with this and it wasnt very expensive so i bought it. Im definately open to all kinds of techniques to get my first antelope and i know im probably going to be doing a little of everything to get one(spot and stalk, sitting water, and now im going to try calling). i was just curious what kind of experience you guys have had with calling antelope for an archery hunt. does it work? when are the best times to use it? Thanks.

that looks great! i cant get enough pics of antelope mounts right now, especially ones like that. august 19th is coming up fast.

i was just up scouting some water holes for my upcoming antelope hunt in 19a and there was a ground blind set up on a tank and a camera facing the tank. there is a hunt that is before mine so im hoping to sit this tanks after this hunt is over. i wanted to check the tank for fresh tracks so i did so knowning the camera was going to take pictures of me. I gave the camera a smile and a wave and showed it my lucky antelope shed horn that i picked up and i was on my way. the thought never crossed my mind to take the camera. its a shame people do that.

i too am sick of those whitetail shows from a blind from somewhere on some private ranch in texas. I do however like when it is a rare archery antelope or mule deer hunt. ive only seen a few coues hunts on those channels. wish one of you guys would start a show.

saw lots of good ones that i would be more than happy to put an arrow through. i cant wait for the hunt! should be a lot of fun.

i got one for my wife. i believe it ranges from 30-70 lbs. or something like that. any way, she loves it. she shoots very accurate with it and they even have it in pink so its nice and cute for her. i would recommend this bow for a first time women archer. take her to cabelas and let her shoot one there and see if she likes it.

my dad and a friend of his put in together and drew the 12aw late hunt. and to top it off his friends wife who put in on a seperate app got the same tag. not bad. i think i might be more excited than my old man. should be a great hunt.

that 20c hunt can be pretty good. I shot my first deer on that junior hunt. they usually dont start rutting in there till december, but you never know. let me know if you guys need some advice. thats where i live. btw only mule deer in that country.

nice pics! that last one is wide! my favorite pic is with your kid and that root beer float. thats what its all about.

I got one in the mail today too. what a wealth of information. I can tell its going to be real useful for me.

Wow! those are some stud bucks! now you just need to tell me exactly where you found them. Ha ha. seriously though well done. looks like you'll be ready when the hunt starts.

finally got a chance to get up to scout yesterday. it was overall very succesfull. I was able to eliminate some areas i thought were going to be great and confirm that some spots actually were good. What i found was lots of dry tanks. Hopefully they got lots of rain between now and the hunt cause it is SO DRY! But i saw lots of good bucks and i watched one that i would love to get come in to water at a horse trough two differant times in one hour. Any one else that has this tag do any good scouting?

Thats good to hear! Looks like most everywhere is finally getting some much needed rain.

Looks great. what a beautiful coat. I love those extra horns too.
