Love the dark horns. Awesome looking buck. Congrats!

Here is the situation, my dad drew a late rifle bull tag for unit 10 and I picked up a leftover 36a coues deer tag for the late november hunt. These hunts take place at the same time. Although he won't admit it, I think he put down this hunt by mistake because neither of us have hunted this unit before. We normally hunt unit 8. I do know that it can be a great tag though. I went back and forth on wether or not I should go with him or go on my 36a hunt but I decided that I better go with him. I'm hoping that he is able to tag out early in his hunt so that I can still make it down to my deer hunt but if he doesnt thats fine too. So for all you unit 10 gurus, I AM asking for your honey holes and secret spots (haha!!). Actually, weve been given some good pointers on the unit already but I figure you cant have too much information. Pm me what you got. Thanks alot! We will be getting there a few days before the hunt and staying for the duration of the hunt if we need to.

. I would only add to you comment to include any of addicts hunts. +1 on any video that Addict has put out. That guy is the freaking man! I don't watch any of the hunting shows on t.v anymore. I just can't stay interested.

Unit 27 Bucks **Updated Storyline**
kennyazman replied to ScottAdams's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Congrats to both hunters. That second buck is a beast! -
I've used them and it was not good. Lots of hair in the meat. I've heard lots of bad things about them. Casey's is the place I would go if I was in the flag area.

How did the hunt go?

That was an awesome video! You're hardcore man!

Awesome! Can't wait for part 2.

I agree with the vortex diamondbacks. Might check out cameraland. They are a member on here and I know they always have demo deals too.

I'm thinking about putting this hunt down for a second choice next year. I'm just getting tired of reading the words not drawn. I wanna hunt!

Very cool story and awesome bull! Congrats!

We stayed in Greer over the weekend. Didn't hear any bugles until Sunday morning. They were fired up big time and were still bugling good at around 10 am.
-
This question is for all the white mountain folks. Me and my family are going up to Greer to spend next weekend. Any chance of seeing fall colors this early?
-
So glad to hear this! I'll be spending a few days next weekend in Greer. The goal is to let my young kids experience some bugling action for their first time.
-
That's what I kinda thought. Oh well. It will still be beautiful. Greer is my favorite place!

I get excited every time I see that you posted another video. They are always awesome! Good job once again!

Have you used them in the field yet? How big is the FOV at say 800-1000 yards? I have used both 15x56's and 20x80's and the latter has a noticeably smaller field of view. I'm pretty sure that he meant to type that he has the minox 15x58's. Could be wrong though.

Minox 15x58 are great and in your price range. If you can find a pair

My two older boys are really starting to share my love of the outdoors and its time I get them a few pairs of camo. I just can't see spending a bunch of money on new stuff because they grow like weeds and they will outgrow them in a few months haha! If any of you guys have some of your kids old camo that they have outgrown that your willing to part with for cheap let me know. I live in Wickenburg but I can make it to the valley this weekend. Camo patterns arnt really too important. They mostly just want to be dressed up in the woods like dad. It adds to the fun. They are 8 and 6 years old. not sure of exact sizes (moms know those things). Let me know what you've got. Thanks!

I really enjoyed that write up. Thanks and congrats!

I appreciate it but Tucson is a little further than id like to travel. Thanks though

Picked up a leftover late November tag. Just curious who else has this hunt. It's my first time with these leftovers and there's a good chance ill be hunting solo. It would be nice to know there's some fellow cwt members out there too.

I've been given some very good advice from some good folks on here and I'm certain I'm going to have a fun hunt. I can't wait!! I keep day dreaming about that awesome moment when you have been glassing and glassing and then all of a sudden you whisper loudly to your buddy "I got deer" that's what it's all about right there!!
-
Believe me I don't want to go solo but its starting to look that way. I'm starting to consider the sierritas as opposed to the las guajas around arivaca just because its a little further from the border and I've been told there's more hunters in the sierritas which normally I would try to avoid but in this case I'm thinking camping next to a bunch of other camps might be a little safer. Send me a pm if anyone has any words of advice in what I have chosen as a hunting/ camping location. Any advice is welcome as I'm giving these southern unit leftovers a first attempt. Thanks!

I have had it happen before for an elk hunt. I assumed it was they had 1 open tag left in the hunt and when they pulled your card it had multiple names so they had to issue a couple extra tags to fill the names on the card. nope just me on the app.
