Grundle- Again spewing things that are false and untrue. Let me clarify a couple things, I have told my side of the story and am sharing videos and photos that were taken strictly by Myself and Darr Colburn on my Instagram account. Here is a portion,"We took this video the spring of 2016 it was the first time we actually ever saw this ram in person. Our good friend Ray Alt found the ram two days prior and I met Ray the following morning to try and get a personal look at him and maybe some #phoneskope video. We looked all day and could not find him. He had vanished like a ghost. I went back home that night and the next morning Ray called me saying he was looking at him again. @darrcolburn and I packed up and headed to the western deserts to try and get a look. When we got there Ray said that he had fed over the hill and so we spread out in the area and this was the first look I ever got of the ram known as "Curly". The first time I knew about curly was in 2014 when Darr and I were guiding the desert bighorn sheep auction Hunter. Arizona Desert Outfitters had sent us some trail cam pictures of this ram. We have a lot of photos and video to share of this ram. We would like to thank Arizona Desert Outfitters for working with @darrcolburn and I and our auction hunter on a successful hunt. Cool video clip captured by @darrcolburn of "Curly". The ram was nicknamed by the guys at Arizona Desert Outfitters (ADO) for obvious reasons. One of the challenges with this ram is that the ADO guys would get trail camera photos every once in awhile of the ram but actually putting eyes him always proved to be a challenge for them because of the nature of this ram to hang in the ironwood washes and low areas. The ram was almost always solo. Many times between photos the guys thought he might have passed away. Then he always seemed to pop back up again. When the hunter who wishes to remain anonymous purchased the tag, we felt that getting the ADO guys involved and leaning on their knowledge of the ram's loner behavior was absolutely the best chance for the hunter to harvest the ram. A great partnership was put into action." To be clear the auction hunter has been a friend of mine for over 25 years. He purchased the tag at the sheep show. He booked his hunt with Colburn and Scott Outfitters. He wishes to remain anonymous and for that I respect him and his reasons. ADO also booked the General season hunter in unit 43 A. I have never spoken to ADO's General season hunter or his father. I hear they are fantastic guys! I did not step foot in the unit until his hunt was over because I did not want to interfere with his hunt in any way. That means between December 1-17, I was never one time in unit 43a. There were agreements made between ADO and their General season hunter and his father, some that I am aware of and some that I am not. The ram has been extremely elusive and a loner for many years. Very few people can actually say they have seen him in person. The ADO guys have trail cam photos since 12 or 13, hopefully they will share them because they tell the story of this nomadic sheep. They did a fantastic job of trying to follow and document this ram as he was like a ghost. Darr and I knew that getting ADO involved after my friend and our hunter bought the tag would dramatically help our hunters chances of harvesting the ram. Again, I'm not sure why people have to say things that are not true. Merry Christmas to all the CWT members out there! I appreciate some of you that have stood up for me on here. To be clear, I make mistakes everyday and I am only saved by the eternal grace of God. Without that grace I would be rolling around in the gutter.

Couesbuk and Grundleshot you guys are taking bits and pieces of a story and spewing nonsense. There were definitely lots of moving parts with this story but your mixing things that are completely false with half truths. My number is the same it's always been. But you don't want to know the truth. You want to slander me. I have broad shoulders and I know what really happened. Good day! 602-803-0223 jayscottoutdoors@gmail.com Again like I've said before, this was a great partnership between Colburn and Scott Outfitters and Arizona Desert Outfitters. Both groups played different roles in getting this ram harvested. Agreements were also made by ADO and their General season hunter and his father both of whom I've never met or spoken to. I'm thankful and privileged to have seen a ram of this age, uniqueness and size and grateful for the dollars raised to help, protect and multiply sheep we all love and get to enjoy.

I heard there were some things being said on this forum so I came over and checked it out. Maybe I can clarify a few things. This was a team effort between Colburn and Scott Outfitters and Arizona Desert Outfitters, both played roles in several and different aspects of this hunt. The ram that was harvested was aged at 13 years old. He was shot with archery equipment. The ram is in my opinion the most unique ram to ever be harvested in our beloved states history. Great money was raised to benefit the sheep herds of Arizona and if you know what is going on in region III then you know we are going to need money. Their seems to be a lot of bitterness that surrounds these hunts and for that I have no explanation. My hats off to the guys at Arizona Desert Outfitters for their hard work on this hunt. Everyone has an opinion and that is ok. If anyone has any questions about the facts of this hunt please feel free to call, email or dm me. 602-803-0223 jayscottoutdoors@gmail.com In my opinion this is a win for our state, the hunter, the 13 year old ram that was harvested that probably wouldn't have made it to summer, the ADBSS and future sheep hunters. One of the reasons we all like CWT.com is that we can come here to learn and converse with our fellow hunters. Lets not stoop to lows of other sites. God Bless and Merry Christmas!

2016 Arizona Governor's Goulds Turkey Hunt
Jay Scott posted a topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
I had a great time with Don and Ginger Whitaker hunting Gould's turkey in Southern Arizona. Arizona is home to some of the prettiest terrain that our great country has to offer! All of the money from the auction Gould's tag go directly towards helping turkeys across Arizona. Here is the video of Don's hunt in which he completes his Royal Slam with a bow and arrow on a beautiful Gould's turkey. I was so honored to be chosen to guide Don on his hunt! The Hunt for 400 Inch Bull Elk
Jay Scott posted a topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
This video series was filmed 11 years ago which is kind of hard to believe. I had a great time enjoying God's creation and getting to hear elk scream their guts out. This is a six part video series and a blast from the past! The bull I ended up harvesting was a 7X7 that grossed scored over 427 as a typical with a 13 inch broken G6. He had 70 inches of mass and is truly a bull of many lifetimes. Even with the broken point he net scored over 404 typical. This hunt took place in the fall of 2005 on the San Carlos Indian Reservation. It is a especially wild and beautiful place. My guide Mark Stevens was a pleasure to be around and my wife Jeanne got to witness some great elk country. View the full article -

Guided and DIY Coues Hunts in Mexico IV
Jay Scott posted a topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
Part IV- See more Photos below. We have found many ranches in Mexico for coues deer hunting. Both for fully outfitted hunts with Colburn and Scott Outfitters and DIY options where the group of hunters take their own firearms, vehicles, food and do all of their own hunting. Each ranch varies in size, terrain, vegetation, proximity to the border, most have houses and some do not. You will see in the next several posts how the terrain is similar in some but much different in others. I think that is what is so unique about hunting coues deer and why we like it so much. . Many unbelievable trophy coues were harvested this last season on both our fully guided and DIY options with some of the biggest being 117, 122, 125, 126 and 127 inch bucks. The season in Sonora, Mexico is very liberal starting Mid November and going into the first week in May.
