These photos are from the second leg of Colburn and Scott Outfitters Gould's turkey hunt with Joe Bittner and Victor Scarinzi. Joe completed his Royal Slam with his traditional stick bow (double in one setup) and picked up another bird with his recurve bow. Victor completed his Royal and World Slam with the harvest of his first Gould's and got a surprise on his second bird when we found out that he had five beards! Congrats guys! View the full article

We just came off a spectacular Gould's turkey hunting trip in which our hunters harvested 11 birds in 5 mornings. We are currently working on getting the videos uploaded so we can share them. We have already posted Joe's hunts where he completes his Royal Slam with his traditional bow. Coming soon will be Victor's completion of the his World and Royal slam with two Gould's turkeys. Two of the birds from our trip have multiple beards including a 4 bearded and five bearded turkey. If you are interested in hunting Gould's turkey go to the Colburn and Scott Outfitters website. Watch as Joe Bittner from CA and DIDUTAGOUT.com harvests a archery double Gould's turkey with his long bow. We just got back from back to back hunts in Mexico for Gould's. We had a great spring turkey hunt this weekend on the White Mountain Apache with some good friends. Our temps in the mornings were 12-20 degrees and highs from 55-70. The winds were mainly mild making for a great hunt. The gobblers were pretty henned up but were vocal enough to make it very interesting. I got some good video that I will post soon. By Darr Colburn My oldest son Parker (age 11) drew a juniors turkey tag in Arizona unit 23. He had the same tag last year and after hunting hard for three days came home without getting a bird. This year we decided it would be fun to stay at the Marvin Robbins Memorial juniors camp put on by the National Wild Turkey Federation, Arizona Elk Society and the Arizona Game and Fish department. We got to camp Friday afternoon and set up our tent. We checked in and talked to some old friends and met some new people. The camp atmosphere was great with lots of things for the kids to do. Marvin Robbins was a friend of mine and I attended many of his turkey seminars at the Desert Christian Archers meetings. He was also great to Parker and gave him a pocket knife and several turkey calls. I know he was looking down on us on this hunt. I called Parker's bird into 10 yards and he made a great shot. Parker told me when the bird popped out and he saw the beard he just had to shoot it. I would like to give a huge thank you for all the volunteers and groups that helped put this camp on.
