You could always Try swappa or gazelle I have had good luck with them and really fast shipping. Maybe a different situation with the covid19 crap tho.

It worked for my deer tag I drew....lol

No. I'll probably get crap for this but I've seen and had good success with ELDMs on game until that changes I will use the 225 for steel and hunting. Plan to put one in an elk this year.

I ended up with 225s ELDMs over 79grs of H1000 at .030" off. They are running right at 3000fps out of a 26" Proof. Hornady brass is showing short life with this load so I've got some ADG on the way.

Defiance Machine -- Controlled Round Feed
SHOOTER replied to sjvcon's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I've got a Bighorn SR3. I was a little skeptical about the CRF and prefits at first but after getting it broke in I love it and I cant wait to build on another bighorn. That action feeds and runs like a well tuned machine. Great action and great customer service! -
Every hospital I have been to has had no problem taking my "stockpile" of money all while bending over my insurance for ridiculous amounts of money. Maybe they should start stock piling on a few essential supply's with all this money they make. The hospital/insurance gig is as corrupt a business as any out there. They are a business that makes tons of money its time start spending it a little wiser. It's not the governments fault they dont have what they need. They might not have masks and gloves but I bet there are plenty of fancy $75k+cars in the parking lot...I am sorry the nurses, doctors, CNAs etc have to suffer because of the people they work for ,it's not fair to them for sure. A business should supply PPE for its staff. And yes a hospital should should have a stockpile. It's not a matter of if things like this happen, it's when.

I agree with yote buster. Most people dont utilize or know how to utilize their "fancy" reticle and there is way to much emphasis on FFP scopes. I dial every shot and much prefer a SFP scope.

Here's what I do and it has worked well. I print a drop chart for my gun specifically for the conditions and elevation I expect on the hunt. I only make it out to 500 yards. Say I range an animal and 390 yards I will use the chart and dial up. I use that for quick reference for the "closer" shots. Anything I plan on shooting further than 500 yards I get out the phone app, kestrel ect. and put in exact data. If I dont have time for that or the animal doesnt present the shot I will not shoot. I will not pull the trigger unless I am 99% sure i can make the shot. I hate looking for a wounded animal and tracking is not my something i am good at. Haha. I have never been able to feel confident enough using holdover reticles to make shots over 3- 400 yards consistently so I dont use them ever.

Running 195s? What velocity? Nice rifle!

Find some Crispis on sale. I will never own a pair of danners. Crispis are very nice. Kenetreks are awesome as well. They require a little more break in than the crispis tho.

I would try H1000 or H1000 or H1000! haha... if you can find some been a little tough to find lately. I have had great luck with H1000 in 7 RM and many other cartridges. Its very temp stable and clean and shoots good. Good Luck!

Agreed 100%!!! aside from Colorado G and F their app system is the worst in the west IMO. They should take notes from NM or UT or Wyoming they have much much more user friendly application systems.

71 yrs old with 19 bonus points, what unit for a Bull
SHOOTER replied to GoldToyBox's topic in Elk Hunting
Instead of a guide it might a be good idea and cheaper to find a resident that knows a unit with a handful of points, join apps with them and help them pull a late rifle tag in exchange to help you on the hunt. Win,Win. Just make sure you guys got your min points to draw and points average figured out. Just food for thought. -
I just got my build up and going have a little successful load development still doing some fine tuning. All data is from my 26" Proof Research 1:9 215gr Bergers Shot well with 80grs of H1000 .010" off the lands. This load was not hot in my gun but maybe in others depending on lot of H1000 and you chamber. I started at 77grs and stepped up in .5 grain increments with a ladder test till i got heavy bolt lift at 81.5 grs. The good upper node seemed to be right at 80-80.5 grs and velocity was around 2930fps. So I loaded 10 and shot groups this load shot sub .5 MOA. (Barrel should speed up a little after 150rds.) Hoping to settle in at 3000 FPS with the 215s. Tried a ladder test with 230gr Bergers and they never shot under an 1MOA started at 77 and hit pressure signs at 80.5 grains of H1000. Gave up on those after several attempts, barrel doesn't seem to like them. The 225gr ELDM hit pressure at 81 grs with H1000. The node seemed to be at 79-80 grs of H1000 .030" off the lands at 2960FPS. I've got 10 rounds loaded for a couple of groups at 80grs H1000 .030" off the lands still waiting to be shot just need a day off. But it looks like they will easily shoot under .5 moa from what i saw on the ladder test. Really liking the rifle and round so far just hoping the Hornady brass holds up. Hope this helps a little.

If you can get a deal on a leupold get a Mark5HD. Or find a good deal on NXS you wont regret either choice.
