SHOOTER

The coyotes have been tough this years so I have been calling a few greys in lately. I called this male in after only about 3 mins of cottontail in distress. And shot him a at about 60 yards with the .223 and a 60gr V-Max. Two came in but I only got a shot at this one This one was kinda different.I was calling alond a rocky rim using cottontail in distress for about 10 mins nothing happen so I switched to rodent in distress and as soon a the rodent sound came on this female came charging in. She stuck her head in the horn of the caller and looked at it funny then I missed at 5 yards. She stood their confused and I made the second shot count. This one I called in the evening with cottontail in distress in a steep little canyon and shot it at about 50 yards with the shotgun and some #4 Buck. It was to dark so I had to take the picture at home. Here is the first fox after I tanned it. Thanks for looking.

I don't own one and never will. The people running around Round Valley are really bad about this and the woods are covered in people right now they are everywhere! most of them making a mess on their ATV's. If I go somewhere I fire up the good ol' hiking boots .

Here is another pic , they were in such good shpae I decided to stain them and I might mount them on a euro mount or somthing.

First I will say I hardly ever find sheds it always the person with me thats finds them. But the other day my luck changed a little. I found these sheds while I was out calling coyotes. I found the left side on the way into the stand and the right side on the way out of the stand they were about 10yards apart. * Taking pics of Kids/Children with shed/horns make the sheds look even bigger. LOL

I have a question or two for you elk guys Are the bulls with the cows this time of year March-May? I see elk this time of year but only see groups of cows with a few spikes. Are the bulls around and I don't see them? Do they seperate in to bachelor groups? if so when? Its seem like during late summer you will see a bunch bulls together. Then in the fall you will see a few bulls with large goups of cows. So when looking for areas to hunt sheds do I need to look for "elk" or do I need to look for groups of bulls? Thanks

Not on that trip. It was weird because we were in the best country we had been in for a while and there was sign all over but we didn't even see a single coyote. We traveled a long ways but the sheds made the whole trip worth it.

I hope this is alright to post this here. I am just introducing myself .Some of you may recognize me from Predator Masters as TacitalDriver. I have been lurking here for a while and finally decide to join and I'm excited to learn new things. I like shooting ,reloading, hunting, fishing and pretty much anything outdoors. I predator hunt mostly because I can never get drawn and still need to hunt something. Thanks
