I tried to go down to San Carlos this weekend but the boat had other ideas. So the boat is in the shop. Had to settle for trout at Cluffs Pond. Maybe next weekend. My Dad talked to a guy coming through Safford and he stated that they caught 7 crappie on jigs. This was on Friday when the wind was howling.

The deer hunt is over and getting my application ready for elk and antelope. Has anyone been to the lakes fishing? I would go to San Carlos and try to catch some early season Crappie but the lake is so low I don't think I would eat the fish. I may have to go out and catch some stockers from the local ponds. Any fishing report would be good.

My brother went to Roosavelt on Saturday and he caught 4 bass right along the shoreline in the brush with plastic worms. FYI.

Chris what a great buck! I hunted Mexico with Chris before and can only say that he is one of the most ambishious hunters I have hunted with no matter what the species. You deserve a great kill like this, because you do the work to put yourself in that position. You da man! Know lets go fishing! Tecate kid.,,

There was an article in the eacourier stating that some lions had been seen near the town of Clifton AZ. In some of comments to the article it stated that Lions are solitary and do not run in groups. But if they were looking at the posts on this sight they would see that that is not entirly true. With trapping being almost non existant in AZ the predator population is exploding. Thanks for posting your pics.

I started my daughter who is now 14 with a 20ga. shotgun at 12 hunting dove and quial know she is shooting a .270 ruger mark VII just fine. Just my 2 cents. Great pic love the Grahams covered in snow!

Yes the Gila is running almost bank to bank. The river should run big for quite awhile with all the snow on the mountains and another storm coming in on Weds.
-
Has anyone been by San Carlos to see the lake level? Hopefully it will get enouph runoff for the crappie fleet to make it out. I looked on USGS but it does not show coolidge dam.

I love my Minox 15's greatest purchase I ever made from Cameraland. They have let me down ounce though. I went to Colorado on a Mule Deer hunt and my focus nob would not work. I sent them back and it took about 6 weeks for return. I know some people that use aluminum cans spray painted waith the bottom and top cut out. If you find what you are looking for please feel free to pass on the info.
