Mary Stine passed away this morning at the age of 18 due to complications from her lifelong battle against ulcerative colitis. Mary was an active participant in the Outdoor Experience 4 All and hunted every day she was healthy enough to head into the field. Most of her hunts would get cut short due to failing health but within days she was planning the next adventure. Her parents, Lana and Larry Stine, worked so hard to make sure Mary was a ready as she could be for every hunt, and served has great role models to all of us. Even though Mary spent most birthdays and holidays in the hospital, she was always smiling and welcomed visitors. As hard as all of us at OE4A tried to be a blessing in Mary’s life, she always seemed to be a bigger blessing to ours. Thank you Mary, your life was an inspiration and your memory will serve as our motivation. Donations can be made to: Lana and Larry Stine PO Box 1085 Cornville, AZ 86325

Thanks Everyone. Mike Duplan and I first started talking about this idea 5 years ago and it is finally a reality. It should be fun and I hope to see your faces in there some day!

AZ Deer Association gets AGFD commission to increase buck to doe ratios
Muley62 replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Of course, just improving the buck:doe ratio is not going to solve all of our problems. But when deer densities are low, a higher buck to doe ratio will insure that all available does get bred and are bred within as narrow a window as possible. As Amanda pointed out, this will improve fawn survival by overwhelming the predators. As fawn survival improves then the entire population base can begin to improve. Controlling predators is a huge issue. The decline of deer populations in AZ coincided with the prolonged drought, but it all started about the same time we lost trapping. This is a guess on my part, but I think the decline had more to do with increased pressure from predators than the weather. Frankly, we can't do anything about the weather anyways, so while we need to acknowledge it as a factor we need to manage what we have control over and not blame it on the weather. -
Amanda Can we send a check to you made payable to CW and then you can add it to the accumulated funds? I am just trying to avoid the processing fees from PP, I know it can get costly.

Wasted My Late Dec Tag For Archery Buck
Muley62 replied to standman's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Brian Congratulations on an awesome buck! We will work hard to get a child out in the field in December and take advantage of that tag. We will keep everyone posted and we can turn it into a CW.com hunt. -
Thanks for the mental break!

Being down here in the Valley and feeling sorry for myself most of the time, I sometimes forget what a beautiful state we live in. I was having fun from the time I left home! I was working at the registration area most of the time and only got to shoot one course but it was still a treat. BTW>>>You guys need to buy a generator and invite Amanda to everyone of your hunts...if she brings the espresso machine.

Spectacular job Marshall!! -
Way too cool!! i gave it a thumbs up

In times like these it is critical to support your local shops and local conservation groups. While i am here, don't forget the ADA banquet on June 5th. You can still get tickets. There is not another organization out there doing more for deer and deer hunters than the ADA.

What do you wear on your feet for a stalk?
Muley62 replied to couesarcher's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I have used the Bears Feet but in our rocky country here in AZ, I wore through the bottoms in two days. Right now I am using the Cat's Paw from Wayne Carlton. IMO they are by far the best system out there. They are heavy felt held on to your boots with heavy draw strings. They last forever and are super quite. The downsides are that snow or ice builds up on the bottoms real bad, fortunately we don't need them much in those kind of conditions. Also, it can be difficult to maintain control on steep sidehill stalks. I bought mine directly from Carltons because i could not find them in any stores. -
Way too funny!!!!
