Know these arent .270 bullets but still illustrates the difference in bullet construction. 2000-1500 fps are the minimum velocities where most bullets may fail to expand. Doesnt mean they cant kill still. Just probably wont be as quick.

Was reading something yesterday about people using shotgun shot to damage growing velvet and cause abnormal amounts of non typical growth. Not sure if theres any truth to it but makes you wonder looking at a buck like that.

I put a revtech lift/leveling kit on my 06' off road tacoma right after i bought it. Front spacers and rear add a leafs. Think it cost me $200. After a couple years the rear add a leafs cracked and fell apart. Then I had Arizona spring in Tucson rebuild the leaf springs and add a much thicker full legnth leaf $250. It definatly rides stiffer but it supports a lot more weight now. If you do stick with the factory strut+spacer keep an eye on the lower bushing in the strut. I had one wear out and the strut snapped off during my antelope hunt. New strut from toyota was only $120 but I lost a day of hunting.

+1 for lip squeak. seems to really get there curiosity.

Get up as early as possible and try to locate multiple bulls. A lot of hunters get started at daybreak and dont hear any bulls. Spend a couple hours listening and stalking in the dark and you'll already be in position by first light. Also, dont sit in camp during the day like a lot of hunters do. Cover some ground and call and always be ready to pin point a distant bugle. Good luck
