I wasn't offended at all with his post whatsoever.. I just said that to prove a point.. and isn't what I said just reciting the truth of the LDS past?? It ALWAYS seems that when the word "mormon" is whispered, shouted, or said on this site, the hackles immediately go up and all the LDS members go into their scrum formation and want to take on all the nay-sayers at the drop of the hat.. I never once mentioned any ill towards the original poster or his beliefs. Not once. Just because I'm not mrmon, and never will be, doesn't mean that I'm the boggie man out to spread the devil's gossip and steal and eat your children when you look away!!! Geezz guys! Remember the "foul language" post?? Same thing!! iwannakillsomthing.. remember, what you posted onto the WORLD WIDE WEB is going to be read by anyone in the whole world. There are ALOT of folks out there who AREN'T mormon. But in the same light, it IS what alot of America has in the backs of their minds about the religion..Thus the show. Its all about being a money maker for them. They WANT to exploit that misinformation.. And TAM, his post was directed towards non mormons.. Thus the reason I opened it and replyed. Had the post been for all the mormons, wouldn't he just have been "preaching to the choir", so to speak on a topic they already knew all to well?? His post WAS to be opened by us non mormons to "teach" us about what the show BigLove is trying to convey.. But thanks for your "help" anyways. BTW, last I checked, NEW England IS in the United States..Had a heckuva football team the last, um, 10 years or so if I recall correctly.

Great pics Scott! I like the attitude of that little terrier!

um..ok, I'll take that bite.. If you're proud to be a mormon(which is fine), can the same be said to the effect of being proud of NOT being mormon and not get jumped all over?? Because you are proud of your religion doesnt mean I want it shoved in my face. Nowadays the mormon church "condems" polygamy in their books, but weren't the mormons run out of New England in the late 1800's because of that very belief??

MY FIRST BOBCAT!
Kilimanjaro replied to Bounty the Dog Hunter's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
Nice cat but... WHY ARE YOU YELLING????? capslock typing is a PAIN to read and insinuates yelling over the computer! -
Audsley, Ive been looking at ALOT of them online! I agree with you though about them having their higher end firearms being commisioned and sold through Abercrombie & Fitch. A&F carried some of the highest quality firearms of the day, and you can still find a few with the A&F stamp on them if you look.. Holland & Holland (ouch!), Griffon & Howe, Rizzini, Sterlingsworth, etc. just to name a few.. But along those lines, they did carry diff grades of the various shotguns.. The cheapest Ive seen was 1500, and the most expensive has been almost 14K!! Hoping to get this O/U.. That is unless I find another SXS. I'd LOVE to have both, but I'm having a .375H&H being built by Montana Rifle right now for Africa next season, so I just cant afford 2 shotguns right at this moment.. I'm thinking about picking up the O/U right now and then getting back in the market for the SXS later in the year..we'll see.

These guns were made in the 1960's... long before what you now know A&F as. Back then they were the THE outfitters in America. Just because they have since gone bankrupt, sold the A&F name, and come back as a clothing store, some of those guns have withstood the 'sands of time" and are still around and are still world class guns.. alot of guns are like fine wine.. better the older they are. Look at the Win pre 64 nuts out there. I'm buying the O/U.. Gonna wait and find another SXS in 28ga. sometime. As far as pricing, A&F guns can run the gamuet of pricing. I've seen them as low as 2K, and as high as 15K.

Christian, what was your Dad's gun?? Was it a Rizinni as well? What guage? I shoulda put the word out to ya earlier!! Got a phone call this morning telling me that the SXS is now gone... bummer! I was really wanting that gun..back to the search!

AGREED!! there are alot of guys on here that have hunted more years than I have in any of the 36's, but I'll be in the top runnings of actual TIME spent down there.. Ive NEVER even seen anything remotely coming close to hogs or even sign of them.. and I was raised where the smeely buggers are EVERYWHERE!!! Might have been 1 or 2 kicked out of a trailer down there a time or 2, but there aint a hog anywhere to be found down there.. Should you find a true wild/feral hog dwon there, I'll be using you to fill out my desert bighorn app. this year..so your luck rubs off on me!

Not being rude at all, but my guess is that there just isnt anyone on coueswhitetail.com that wants this gun!! there are plenty of buyers out there.. just find 1 of them on the right site and you'll sell it in no time.

The ARIZONA TRAIL-Sections 16&17-Kelvin to Picketpost-31 Miles
Kilimanjaro replied to AZP&Y's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Simply awesome Doug! I should make that AZ trail a part of my "to do" list of hiking to get done! -
Thanks Chef! I really do appreciate the kind words! I try and keep a journal of most all the hunts I do so I can have it to go back on and relive the hunt anytime I want to. When I type up a hunt report for you guys, I usually just pull out the diary and hit the high notes of the trip. As for the pics, I just fire away with as many as I can get away with, and some of time I get lucky with a good photo or two.. Next month, I'll be firing away with the camera as I call in a big TX Rio tom for ya!!

don't own one..... so none of the above.

What is going On in the world
Kilimanjaro replied to az4life's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Painful to admit, but our country is a joke... I have come to terms with it. -
Me too.. makes me crackup everytime I look at it!!

Nice dog carrier... Here's my lightly used cat carrier for sale to all that are in the market for such.. make me your best offer.
-
I'd leave it.. not because its the law or morally high road to take, but because I bet that thing stinks to high heaven...

......and Casey and Hector have decided to make it priority as well for 2010!! They are going with me on their first safaris. They are hunting plainsgame... although Hector is thinking about stepping his hunt up into the dangerous game realm as well. Should you want to hunt Africa, you can do the same.. Just make it a priority.
-
Guys, its all just a matter of priorities.. If you want to do something bad enough, you'll find a way.. I spend almost ALL my hunting money on Africa trips. Hardly a dime of mine goes into hunting big game here in the States, other than quail hunting.. I could go do a couple of mediocre hunts (like bear, moose, elk or caribou, etc) here or Canada every year, or I can skrimp and save and go back to Africa every yr.. Not even a hard choice at all in my book. I create the opportunities for myself every year to hunt whereever I feel like going.. Most of the time it just happens to be in Africa. As I said, its all about priorities. Plus, I have ALOT of good buddies who live in southern Africa!!! I lived over there for a full year.. I get hooked up great on most ocassions!!
-
Ive got one I'll sell ya.. Never thought about selling it, but I plan on getting a new one this season anyways. Make an offer!! Its in great condition. Been used for 2 seasons now. Oh yeah, its the med. version.
-
And I have little respect for most of your ideas and posts and I too have to disagree with your opinion on this one as well.. You know I had to.. It was just TOO easy not to!!!! Its too bad that a S. AZ legend has passed on, but he was old.. better to have him to study than to feed the buzzards and coyotes with..

The closest I got to shooting an elephant was in Zimbabwe's Matetsi in 1983, when a cow charged our open Land Rover. I had my .458 in the vehicle, and was ready to shoot her after she had chased us for a quarter mile through a thicket. At one point in her chase, she was no more than 10 yards behind us and trumpeting. Lucky for her, we were able to reach a good portion of the two-track road and get away. Incidentally, what's with "ele"? I know that's what some members of the AR forum call them, but as much as I'd like to get even with an elephant for its relatives scaring the poop out of me so many times, don't these big beasts deserve better? Bill Quimby Simple... its alot faster to type. Kinda like cwt instead of typing out coueswhitetail... lazy? maybe.. more convinent? yes!

Ive spent the better part of almost everyday for the last 6 years in 36ABC and have never seen a feral hog, nor any sign of them.... Wanna hog hunt?? Go to TX or OK. There's more than you'll ever be able to shoot over there!
-
Again, thanks guys!! Bill, I woulda figured you had an ele or 2 under the belt with all those safaris under your belt!
