He is on the wall
Kilimanjaro replied to Snapshot's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
He's drying as we speak! He is/was a big ol' lug-headed buck for sure!! I will say that I am really happy with the way he turned out. Beautiful old buck that will provide some great memories everytime you look at him up on the wall... I'm off to the range to practice with this muzzleloader some more! -
New Mexico G& F Hit my CC Today
Kilimanjaro replied to scoutm's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
my CC got hit for the sheep and ibex apps yesterday as well... -
Hotel Buena Vista in Los Cabos up the road just a bit from Cabo treated us fantastic when we fished with them a couple of years back.. We tore up the dorado and even landed a few yellowfin tuna and a small sail.

Blue Grouse
Kilimanjaro replied to gonhntn's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
They're up there, butcha gotta work for 'em here in AZ.. Here's one from the north side of the ditch from way back in 2005! I found LOTS more of them in MT than in AZ when I lived up there for that season.. The cool thing was in MT, in the mountains, you could, and usually would, get Spruce and Ruffed grouse as well.. They are a blast to hunt though!! -
Best locater call Ive ever used was a peacock screamer.. It worked EVERYTIME!! Mine fell out of my pocket a few years back, and I havent bought another one since.. They work awesome. They'll gobble at it no matter what time of day!!

It seems that a Mr. Dalton has taken it upon himself to try and run me down and be an internet hero in a topic he self admitted to having no business in in the 1st place...and I'm the "insecure" one..hmm... nice try, "buddy". Like I said earlier, I'm long since over this one.. Moving on! -

I am glad you and your father are pleased with the mounts.. They did come out nicely. I really appreciate the work from you guys and the others on here whos deer I've mounted or am planning on mounting. Thanks guys! -
You DONT want to get bite by that snake, Danny!! Largest fangs in the world and some potent venom to go along with those fangs as well.. Sweet pics though! Thanks for sharing them with us over here! Saw a handful of puff adders and 2 spitting cobras on my trip to Zimbabwe last month..

Thats the funniest thing I've read on here in a LONG time!! The exact same thing can be said to those who waited and crashed the system... You guys who waited til the last minute should be ashamed of yourselves for expecting to be catered to and be given an extension.. I wish, LIKE ALOT OF OTHERS ON HERE, that they had just said "TOUGH LUCK" and been done with it.. But, the state of NM is money grubber like the rest of the Gov't and they wanted your money too.. And in doing that, thus pissed ALOT of folks off and made those bad odds that much worse for the rest of us.. And in using your "good fiscal sense" you all crashed the system. Thanks. Getting into a pissing match with you Prescott boys isn't going to fix this.. I'm done with this one. I'll just continue to hope, like always, to draw either that bighorn or Ibex tag Ive been puttin' in for for so long!!! -
I enjoy a trip to RP as much as the next guy, but I like the trips to San Carlos even better!!!! I try and get in a fishing trip/SCUBA down that way at least once or twice a year. Beautiful places. The wife and I are headed to Kona,HI for a week in mid June.. Hope I bring back some great pics of the Big Island.. never been on the Big Island before..just Oahu and Maui on a previous trip. We are planning on seeing the open lava tubes, climbing Mouna Kea (to get HI off the state high peak list, #5), do plenty of SCUBA and snorkleing, and plenty of relaxin on the black sand beaches!

I clearly answered that in the previous post.. PROCRASTINATORS crashed the system! NMGF didnt crash it themselves... the servers can't handle the mad dash at the last minute. No matter what is said concerning this fiasco to you, you will continue to place the blame on the G&F, and we will continue to place the blame on the procrastinators for this mess.. you say potato, I say potatoe. Thus we will ALL continue to be flustered by this mess and will ALL wait for the new deadline to come and go.. -

I am.. it took a dump cuz there was 2 million procrastinators who crashed it by waiting til the last possible moment to try and get their apps in all at the exact same time!! That was easy enough... -

Its because everyone waits till the last day to get it done!! I had no problems whatsoever 2 weeks ago... Come on Wheeler peak bighorn tag and Ibex tag(although I'm not holding my breath!!!!) -
Agreed.. I bought my TC Triumph last week and it's trigger needs the same work as yours... its just not crisp enough nor quite light enough.

I am in the process of breaking in a new muzzleloader and I was given the advise of starting with 80 grains of powder to start the gun off with.. Then move up in 20 to 30 grain incraments til you figure out what your gun shoots the best.. While breaking in/ testing various powder, shoot a variety of diff weight bullets as well..
