Seems that maybe after the 1st or 2nd one, ah nevermind.... I think this type of post is the summer theme of CWT.com every single summer.
-
Good on ya for taking those young guys!! That sounds like a trip they will always remember.

.....the pic that was posted on here by a member awhile back who had made his own leather piece that attached his eyepiece covers to the binos themselves through the strap loop.. It was a piece of leather that was "rivoted" together in 2 loops, after being attached to the eypiece and binos. Does anyone remember that topic? I was trying to find the pic, but came up empty handed.. I'd like to see if the gent who posted it sold them, or at a minimum, I could try and make my own.. Thanks guys.

Are there any CWT members who are attending the dinner tomorrow at Loews Ventana resort? Just curious to see if any other regulars will be there. If so, I will see ya at 5!
-
Sounds good.. I will see both you and Audsley there.. I will be there around 5. I'll look for the funny looking shirt! Oh yeah Bob, I don't think I have any pants with pockets big enough to bring a bull elephant to the party! See ya there.

That leather piece looks like the one.. I just wanted to see it again so I could make one myself.. Thanks for posting the pic!

Glad you enjoy the mount, Casey.... I appreciate the workload. Now, if I can just get someone, ehmmm...CASEY, to learn what NOT to do when caping a deer!!! Casey thought I needed some remedials in repair sewing and fixing on this buck!!! LOL
-
I have... I've been wanting to take one for the last few years to get the HE point, but all of the classes have either been in Kingman or PHX..

Looks like 27 is getting plenty of the wet stuff this monsoon!!

I am in the need of someone that would be able to make a couple of pedestals for me. I have a couple of clients who I am mounting their African safaris and I am getting close to mouting their zebras.. Or.. If the winner of the base in the CWT deer contest hasn't put his to use, and would like to sell the one he won.. I can't remember the name of the winner, though.. Well, if ya read this and are interested in selling it, would you please get ahold of me?!! Thanks for the help, guys. They are looking for basic pyramid style bases.. just like mine here.

Know of any good woodworkers in the Tucson area?
Kilimanjaro replied to Kilimanjaro's topic in Classified Ads
The one above (my own) is made by him.. But I found out he is out of the wood work business.. So I have to find someone else as soon as I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated, guys and gals. Thanks. -

A 32" axis is getting up there in size!! Congrats on a great buck!! I'll be headed back home to the hill country on Aug 30th to chase Fallow deer and sika deer on a family friend's ranch that borders the YO.. Can't wait to get back home for a few days and hopefully I have the same luck you did.

Looks human to me... and old.. I've found a number of skulls and remains out here, but unfortunately, they've almost all been fairly fresh (work related) as in within 1 day to 1 month..I've only found one that was older (skeletal remains)..
-
Must have taken a full force blast there, Scott!! Well, guess the tents are gonna have to come out now!
-
Casey went to PHX to Cabelas and take his girlie out to dinner and such and he gladly picked me up a bottle of the BH209 and all the stuff to start shooting loose while he was there.. I haven't had a chance to yet, but if it works as well as it does for TAM, I will be glad I made the switch!! I'll give a report when i make it out to the range in the next week or so.

Party at Jim Reynolds' house!
Kilimanjaro replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
That's the same day as the SCI AZ chapter dinner banquet here in Tucson... Is that date set in concrete for everyone involved in the CWT BBQ or is there any chance at some flexibility? Sounds like alot of folks (myself included) want to go, but have already made prior arangements. -
Big smelly fire in 36C?
Kilimanjaro replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I was out there last night and that thing has GROWN!! It was buring from the Elkhorn ranch area all the way down to milepost 12.. Had moved quite a distance out into the flats in the brown canyon as well.. Behind Mildred, it looked like it was on the rez boundary, if not already crossed over. It was quite impressive to see that much country burning all at once. -
I usually see 3 or 4 of them every monsoon season out in the Babo's while I'm at work .. Like catclaw said, I've seen most of them in the 3000 to 3500 elevation range..

Some great trophies there!

Was started for us by "immigrants" trying to get rescued by starting a fire that quickly got away from them. Its growing.. I watched it for awhile this evening.
