I would not support this in any way, shape or form.. Aweful idea.. Besides, I've been VERY generous to this State's Game Dept since moving here in 2003.. lifetime licsense, ALL of the draws, etc...

Went with 100gr of BH209 loose, and Barnes 250gr tipped TMZ bullets.. Have had the best groups thus far with this load.. Gonna stick with this one for the hunt. Have also been practicing with 110 grains of 777 pellets as my follow-up shots for the hunt.. Better groups with the 777 pellets than the Pyrodex ones.. The pellets are just SO much easier to deal with, IMO.

Way to go, amigo... I know you enjoyed the trip as much as I said you would!! You took some great trophies at some INSANE distances for Africa! So let's hear it, were you already planning a return trip on the plane ride home? Headed up to 27 in about 20min (it's 130AM and I'm on CWT!)... I'll call ya on the return and let ya know what we see.. Congrats again, Cade!

TC Encore Triggers

Maybe I need to head up there and get my worked on as well.. I hate the factory trigger of my Triumph. -
I've seen a bunch of the little devils while at work out in the 36 units.. And have seen them a couple of times while out deer hunting, but didn't want to ruin the hunt by shooting one. I'm still waiting on getting one while quail hunting.. my dogs go APE S___ when they get a whiff of them!! The ones in the large packs are the females, juvie males and young.. aka, coatimundies. The ones you want to hunt, if you want a great mount, are the big solitary loner males.. the coatis.

He is a Chapuis .470 Nitro Express double rifle..He just moved in with us a few weeks back. I hope to give him a good home and take him on some great hunts in the next few years.. Cape buff, lioness, hippo, maybe another ele, water buff in Austrailia..

I'll be up there again this weekend...

A well placed 500 grains of copper through either the frontal or side brain will do the setting up for you!! Brain shot elephant will collapse like that. If you get lucky, they won't roll over! Those 7ft. tusks didn't hurt either..looks like they kept him perfectly balanced!

Man, I LOVE it down there and try to make the trip at least twice a year to do the exact same thing ya'll did..

And here we go with the "Dad" lecture about how we should all be driving.. Have ya been down the 10 between PHX and Tucson as of late? How about the 101 or 202 in PHX? If you are doing 80, you'll get run over from behind!! Please... spare me the lecture of how we should all be driving.. You know as well as we all do that 90% of the drivers out there are speeding, if only a few MPH over the posted.. And those who aren't are generally the ones causing the delays and backup by slowing traffic down, generally in the lanes they shouldn't be in.. I know, I've ridden with my Grandpa in Dallas traffic before. I was more nervous than if we had been doing 85-90 (AKA going with the flow of traffic).

I know, I know!!! I've been in full on Africa mode for the last 3 months trying to get stuff squared away for next season's hunt. I'm just about done with it. I'll be heading up to my unit this weekend for a few days of scouting and a will have a couple of more scouting trips between now and when the bow opener opens.. I'm hoping to find "my beast" bull while all those stick flingers are out there.. I'm planning on being there a full week before my season opens and finding that beast bull Ive dreamed of!! On a side note, how about sharing a few pics with the rest of the guys on here from your most recent hunt!!?? I know they'll enjoy them as much as I did. Hey guys, thanks again.. Casey, if you want to try for a coyote with him, be my guest, amigo! Just be sure to get him within 75 yrds and I'm sure you can hit him. But we'll HAVE to reload for this one!! The feed bill for this gun isn't cheap!

great idea!

Have a great one!

Thanks guys.. I have dreamed of owning and hunting with one of these great guns since I was old enough to read the greats from yesteryear such as Ruark, Hemmingway, Capstick, etc.. With the current market, there are some great deals floating around out there and I just couldn't pass this one up. Casey, if you buy the ammo, you're more than welcome to take him coyote plinking!! RR, he prefers a healthy, albiet large diet of 500 grain solids or 500 grain woodleigh softs. And yeah, he kicks, but it's more of a hard "push".. He weighs 10 1/2 lbs, so that tames alot of the recoil. Hope to share alot of great hunts using this great gun with ya'll over the coming seasons!

That's how I hope my muzz elk hunt goes in Sept. Big bull coming in on a string, thumped, and goes down within eyesight. Great bull and vid.

That made me laugh!! My 300WSM the pea shooter in my safe! Just ribbin' ya, Dave!! Good luck selling the rifle.

I got one in PHX on I-10 at the big curve by Skyharbor in May.. I saw the flash go off and knew they had "caught" me... I got a "notice" in the mail.. Somehow, it got placed with the trash that goes into the shredder.. I say let them come to the house and serve me with a citation. Like that's gonna happen..
