Tempting and I'm a lefty. -
Many thanks, Casey for the fantastic custom reloads. This probably makes 400-500 rounds for this gun you've loaded for me over the years. Looking forward to putting them to work in Spain for Iberian red stag and Fallow deer then over to Russia in the Caucasus Mountains again for Kuban Tur, Mid Caucasian Tur and Caucasian chamois in 90 short days.. The 300H&H will be back in her element.

@ roninflag Much appreciated. I was fortunate enough to have taken that great Marco Polo argali last November in Kyrgyzstan. I appreciate it. @greyghost I'll definitely be sure to share the adventures here should I succeed. I'm definitely getting excited about the trips. -
Nada from AZGF for me other than more points. Spain and Russia though in October so I'm not too upset.

This sounds like the absolute worst hunt on earth. Endless blind sitting, no action, overcrowded waterholes and salt licks, outfits and AZGF running the hunts like they own the place.. Thank God I've no interest in an Arizona buffalo. As someone else mentioned, syphillis sounds more exciting and appealing than this. I shot a big bull on the Ft Peck Indian rez in Montana in '07 and it was a fun hunt.

In San Antonio for the next few months.

I'll vouch for Bob.. I told him to try here for his sell.. Good dude!

It's become Eastern turkeys and Az black bears that have been my bane!! Can't close the deal on these things! Lol I chalk it up to if you hunt enough, you're going to eventually have a hunt or two that just never goes right. Murphy seems to like going with me on these.

Was fortune enough to hang a couple of tags on some west TX Rio gobblers last month.. Great hunt as usual and lots of very responsive gobbling and LOTS of birds. I was up in Ohio last week after an Eastern gobbler, but I got skunked and schooled. Tough birds.. I'm 0-2 on Easterns now! Arkansas a few years back and now Ohio.. becoming my nemesis. I forget just how different these birds are compared to Rios, Merriams and Goulds. A whole other ballgame..
-
I've found those Eastern birds by far the most difficult. I'm going to give them a go in Georgia next spring and see if I can't seal the deal finally. They're nothing like a Gould's or Rio!

To heck with that. I did a year in northern Montana. -30 was cold enough for me to realize I had no business being up there! I'm in Texas now (home state) and about to move back to Arizona for good. The humidity level is brutal out here. 14 years in Az cured me of ever living in humidity again. I'll take dry heat over just about anything.

Shot a Gould's a few years ago in 33. Time for another. I'll throw my name in for one.
-
I drew unit 33 second hunt back in 2013 with a whopping one point. The AZGF hunters ed point. I do believe I spent every amount of luck I'll ever have in any draw in America with that dang tag.

Thank you for the prompt sell. Books are in immaculate condition.

Very interested. Pm forthcoming. Thx

I took a long hiatus from any and all internet forums.. I figured I would peek in and see how the CTW forum is doing and say howdy to all my long time amigos on the site. It's been a long time. I hope everyone is doing well and hope that you're hunting as much as possible and that the draws are kind to ya. I am looking forward to hearing from some of ya'll here on the site. Scotty

I appreciate it, gents.

Sure, Crotalus. Let's see:: 2014: Muskox was a borrowed 30/06 from my Inuit guide. I didn't want to take my own rifle on that hunt. Slovenia was a Blaser in .270 Macedonia was a 7mm Romania was a Blaser in .243 Spain was the Blaser 270. 2015: Sonora bighorn used my custom 300HH. Turkey same. Spain that year everything with a Blaser in 270. 2016: Azerbaijan again with my 300HH. Spain and Kyrgyzstan 2016 everything with my custom 264Win Mag. Best shots were in Azerbaijan at the Dagestan Tur at 486 and 500 (hit twice) with the 300H&H and in Kyrgyzstan with my 264Win mag on the Marco Polo at 586 yards.
