Weekend Goal
azcouesandelk replied to bowsniper's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I would say around the 85 range but for a bow or any type of weapon that is a great trophy. Good luck to you this weekend. -
I just went to your family guide website and let me be the first to say that you guys have some tremendous photos in there. Coues and elk galour and some extremely nice bears some nice mulies and some lions and you even threw in some monster javelina. Great site man I absolutely love it.

Elkman if you email me the pics at cdude2006@cox.net I will gladly put those up. That is something that every coues hunter dreams of there.

I hate those things with a passion I would have jumped back and screamed also I am sure. Either that or shoot it with my .460 or .280 either way would work.

Well I went down to 36b this weekend for my first scouting trip. I did ok but not great. I was able to locat around 25 deer and 4 were bucks. None of the bucks were larger than forks though. Here are some pics for you to enjoy. The first 2 pics is the view from my glassing position. This is the picture of the biggest buck, but it is still hard to pic out the antlers. This is a picture of 2 does feeding on a hill behind where I was glassing. This is a picture of a skylined doe and I thought it was a neat picture. This is a pic of a doe that was 780 yards away (based on the rangefiner) This last pic is of a creature that I dislike strongly and saw to many of this weekend. Hope everybody enjoys.

Here are the robinhood pics. Sorry but I could not get them any larger.

If you email me the pic at cdude2006@cox.net I will gladly get it posted for you. I dont archery hunt but I know that is a great accomplishment. Congratulations.

Anyone seen this before? PICS.....
azcouesandelk replied to GRONG's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I have only seen twins. That is an awesome picture there Josh. -
The tarantuala I took the picture of actually crawled on my pant leg while I was glassing and I freaked out. I hate spiders and snakes. Especially tarantulas and rattlesnakes.

Those are some amazing photos and some very nice bucks. Great job looking forward to the success stories next week. Also what kind of camera setup do you use to get those good of pics? -
Congratulation Mr. Quimby that is some honor there. I wish I could have congratulated you in person but this will have to do.

Awesome job vegasjeep what part of the unit were you in this weekend. -
Well to tell you honestly I was just putting my old digital in the eyepiece of my binos and snapping photos. It is the only good one through my binos out of about 100 pics. I also just spent most of my money on a digiscope setup so my next couple scouting trips should have some top notch pics hopefully. I also forgot to mention that I was at 3 different glassing points throughout the weekend and found 12 deer from the one I posted pics of. 2 were bucks outta the 12.
-
I was hoping to find some larger bucks based on some of the sheds I have found in the past in that area. Also the cattle have it pretty bear up. I am hoping that my dad and I have an awesome 2 hunts. My dad has the October tag and I have the November tag. Stanley I could not believe how green it was down there. Also on Friday night we got a heck of a storm. It was awesome, there were some winds that were wanting to tip our trailer and rain that was coming down horizontal it was what I love about Arizona.

It is somewhat slow at first but after posting once mine seemed to speed up a little bit. Also it may be just me but it is not showing any new views on a topic.

The 4 Remaining Species of Salmon
azcouesandelk posted a topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Ok here are the last 4 species of Salmon and I will have a few more stories for the trout, dolly vardon and grayling along with wildlife and scenery. These 2 pics are of the same Chum Salmon. I only caught 6 but this is the only one that I got any pics of. This next pic is of a Pink Salmon. I caught so many Pinks I was getting sore. I would catch about 10 every hour and they fight good on a 5 weight. This next pic is of my 1 and only Sockeye that I caught. Where we were located not a lot of sockeyes run up there but we do catch a few. These next few pics are of Silver Salmon. I left when the run was really starting to heat up. I was still able to catch a lot of them though. The cool thing about our lodge is that we specialize in topwater for Silvers. Seeing a silver erupt out of the water at a popper is a site that is to magnificent for words. Here is a pic of a silver caught on a popper. And here is a closeup of the silver on the popper. Hope you guys enjoy. Also there will be 3 more stories to come on my Alaskan adventure.
