coues7 if I had the money I would buy that but I am a little short on change I will talk to my buddy he is in need of a good pair of binos and I will try to get him in touch with you.

From where I have been I have not seen 1 illegal either scouting trip so far. Before when I would go to this area quail hunting it would not be uncommon to see a group of 20 a day. Also reddog if you are going down to 36b again let me know that is my unit this year.

Does it have a wood or synthetic stock on it?
-
Ok I am planning on going down again this weekend. I plan on leaving friday night and scouting all day saturday and sunday morning. Just shoot me an email or pm if you are heading down and want to meet up.

Hey Buddy, can you spare some change?
azcouesandelk replied to az4life's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
az4life it was great while it lasted man. Good to hear that you will be moving on to greater things. You will be missed around the board and in Arizona. I wish you the best of luck in Wyoming and hope you keep posting your success stories from Wyoming on this board. You and your family will be in my prayers for a safe move. -
Guess I have been making this mistake for the last 6 years Guess I will start leaving gates as I find them
-
I always close any gate that I go through. If it doesnt need to be closed oh well the next person can open it but if it is supposed to be closed and the rancher see's it open there goes some hunting land possibly.

How far do you live from your spot?
azcouesandelk replied to jamaro's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Scottsdale to Arivaca mean a 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive. Plus the drive into my secret spot now is another hour so I am looking at over 4 hours. -
Im not sure. Is it coming up as a red X? If it is try right clickng on the X and click on show picture it might work.

Well this weekend was a great weekend. Found a lot of deer and a really good number of bucks. Throughout the weekend I found 22 deer and 9 were bucks. I found a total of 4 3x3’s plus eyeguards and a monster 4x4 plus eyeguards which I would guess would go 115 plus. This first pic is of a nice little 3x3 and a good size fork. The picture was taken at 850 yards on 30x. This second pic is of a momma and a spike with about 1 or 2 inch nubs. This picture was taken right at 1000 yards on 60x. This third pic is of a doe that walked about 40 yards away. This pic is just with the camera not with the spotting scope. This fourth pic is of a lone doe on a rock outcropping. This pic was from 750 yards on 40x. This fifth pic is a find the deer. It was taken from about 900 yards on 20x. (This should be pretty easy) Here is my setup when I am up on the hill. I am packing in 2 tripods now so my pack is getting a little heavy. This seventh pic is of the moon. I could not believe how bright and orange it was. This last pic is of another random critter I found. Hope you all enjoy

Hard work pays off again. Great job man on a terrific animal.
-
It will take some getting used to but after practicing with it for a while I think it is awesome. The last pic i posted was toward the end when I was getting the hang of it and I think it was my best pic. Now my next scouting trip should be even better I am hoping
-
Now why cant coues act like that during the hunt?
-
Figured I would add one more just because I think it is a great pic. This pic was taken from 850 yards around 50x.
-
I am carrying 2 bogen tripods the one that my binos are on is the 3001bn and the one that my spotting scope is on is a 3205bn i believe. They are a little heavy but worth the stability in my mind. I have been thinking about getting a starting setup and practicing and possibly going this next year. Just need to find a decent one for under 300 to start
-
I did not see any more on that hill but I may have missed something.
-
Lets just hope I can find them again during the hunts
-
No it is the mom. When I first saw it I thought it was a buck by the way it was acting but after close examination I saw it was a doe with a very little spike with it.
-
Terrific job on a terrific goat cant wait to see pics of the mount.
-
I use wet lens wipes. I forgot where I bought them but I am sure any place where binos are sold they will sell them also.
-
Great buckand a great start for a kid there. Hope he is hooked for life.

azcouesandelk replied to jamaro's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I do not think they make an adapter. You may want to contact swarovski to see if there digiscope adapter for there spotter works on the 15's. I dont think it will but it is worth a shot. -
I understand cmpletely. Congrats to the hunter again for a trophy of a lifetime.
