GTT if it makes you feal better I had a stalk on a nice buck on that same hill! Made my loop around through the washes and started my climb towards the top. Dropped my fanny pack off about 100 yards away from where the buck was bedded and started my final stalk. Got to 31 yards from the yucca he was bedded behind. When I started to draw he stood up and started to walk. I got to about 3/4 draw and I accidently hit the release sending the arrow into the ground hitting a rock and having it ricoched (sp?) going about 10 feet over his back. After the shot I knew I just had an opprotunity of a life time. I sat down and thought about it for a minute and then decided I better get back to the guys up on the perch. You may know this buck as it was the one that Jerry missed. Only thing is that it isn't a 105+ buck just an 80ish buck. -
Josh that is an original. We found a box that had about 100 of them in it at the lodge at the "tent camp" so we decided to post them up around the camp.

For the next 2 weeks or so I will be posting pictures from a flight seeing trip I was able to do because 2 of my clients wanted to get an upclose look at McKinely (sp?) This is a pictured of a glacial run. Really awesome to see in person.

Sadly that sticker is not gone. Had to take it off so I wouldn't offend anybody at work

That is a sweet truck Bret. I bet you did some romping around in that. Also that whitetail is a nice looking buck and the muley is unique with only have the 1 pedicle. -
I want to get that one this year That is truly impressive can't wait for the measurements.

Great buck and great sheds. Now you will just have to find a bigger one this year Josh.

Great pics Bret keep em coming. What engine did it have in it? I had a 1984 suburban with a 454. That thing was a thrill ride to say the least. -
Different Mount Rainer. This is one in Alaska that we could see from the lodge. I may be wrong on the name but that is what I was told it was.

Good to see people are still looking! I was getting worried without someone else posting on the topic in over a week

Here is another one for you to climb Scottyboy. This is a picture of Mount Rainer. Taken through one of the oldest crappiest spotting scopes I have ever seen Just checking to make sure to see if anybody is still looking at the pics haven't seen any post in a while

Alright here is a short clip of 3 of the tom's. If you watch one of the turkeys as it goes behind one of the small pines he starts to strut. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Here is a picture of what we thought was the beginning of the northern lights. This was the darkest I saw it all summer. I guess the few hours of sleep I got each night were during the darkest parts

Nice sheds. That one with the split g4 is sweet. Can't imagine what he will look like this year.

I seem to recall that spot. I believe that my dad and I killed our deer this year about 600 yards away from where that pig and lion were taken -
Look at all the colors Just kick back and take it easy.

Yeah I know what you mean about finding big bucks scouting and not finding them on the hunt. It is a really good idea to scout the less pressured areas now because more bucks may move into there during the season.
-
Man that is off a 125 class typical!!! I would give anything to see that buck alive.
-
I have been in areas that I have seen buck to do ratios of 1:3 and some that are 1:8. I think it is all about the food/water in the area. Also if you were seeing that many fawns I think that a good portion are bucks. And there are always the bucks we never see. I would say most areas have a buck to doe ratio around 1:6 or so.
