Snake training is a good solution for dogs if the dog is not stubborn. My dad had his dog snake trained but it did no good. I like to carry a small venom extractor along with me incase my dog or I get bit I can use it on either one of us and we shold be fine to get back to the truck and to get help. I will look and try to find a link to the extractor I have.

Who is this Chrissy person? I sure don't know anyone by that name I just got my antelope check back today, but at least it was only 1 -
It is just the opposite of an albino. There was an all black mule deer killed in Utah I believe a few years ago so possibly the same scenario with the turkey? Just my $.02

Here is a picture of why Gamehauler is always posting during the day -
Awesome job!!! Some big ol turkeys and some of those sheds are pretty darn big. Is the top one on the right a non-typical shed also? And the middle one on top has got a deep fork on it.

Another picture from my first clients. This is from the same day that the husband caught the 50 pounder. On this day they each caught around 6 Kings which is a good day but the average fish was around 35 pounds. Here is about the average fish they caught that day. This is also a female just so everybody knows.

Looking at it more closely I agree with Jim that it is a coyote. Looking at the lighter patches on the dark picture they match up rather well with the clear picture of the coyote. -
Great bird and nice find!

Not what I'm thinking Yeah I know what your thinking and it is a good possibility because if you look closely it appears that there is a longer tail like a lion possibly -

The picture you lightened up looks like a coues but it is very hard to tell. I think that because of the white belly on it. -
Sadly I wasn't a part of this fish story but it goes that the guide who is pictured his client hooked onto this king in some swift water and it took him 2 and 1/2 hours to land the fish. It is the biggest fish of the year from the lodge and weighed in at about 65 to 70 pounds. All the guides at the lodge had seen this fish in the water and had attempted to catch it but never got it to bite.

Nice finds for sure. Keep up the good work and keep the wife with you so you can actually find some

Wow talk about a bruiser of a buck. To bad he couldn't do the deed and put that deer on the ground. At least he has the sheds from a truly impressive specimen.

For me the favorite part about the hunt is getting onto my perch watching the stars disappear with the sun peaking over the mountain tops. Just sitting there watching this talking to my dad about what we will find in the days to come and what we wish will happen. Nothing better than getting to spend time like that with your dad. -

Great post Scotty. Makes me wish I had spent more time doing some quail hunting. Nothing better than getting those mearns in thick cover or getting those scalies in the middle of a "sea of golden grass". Love the closeups of each species -
Sweet find that thing has a ton of character!!!

Great job!!! That 7 point in the pickup looks like a big ol one. And the one your buddy has in the house has a huge mainbeam on it!!! Thanks for the pics
