Not this time but I am going to practice with my numb-chucks and bowstaff for january

I left Thursday night for 3 days of pig hunting and deer scouting with my dad and it went great. We went to one of my favorite perches and glassed for about an hour turning up 4 does and a spike when my dad called me over to where he was glassing and said he had a herd of pigs. The pigs were about 300 yards below us and he wanted me to go after him even though he had a tag in his pocket also. I worked my way down one of the catclaw filled fingers and got to the bottom. When I was halfway down I watched at 10 pigs from the heard fed up over the next ridge. I got to the bottom and saw 3 pigs still milling around on the hillside. I then worked my way through the rock filled bottom as quietly as possible and saw the pigs looking in my direction. At this point the pigs are at 48 yards and it is wide open between me and them so I decide I would take the shot. I draw back and let the arrow fly. When I released I felt myself lift the bottom of the bow and the arrow hit the pig in the neck. It took 2 steps and stopped which gave me an opprotunity to knock another arrow and draw back. This time I settled in well and released and watched the arrow go right into the pig where I was aiming. I gave it about 15 minutes since I heard it crash and knew I had hit it well. I walked along following the great blood trail and saw the pig no more than 50 yards from where I had hit it. I was shooting the 2 blade Rage broadheads and those things leave a devastating hole. My second shot had cut a good portion of the liver and sliced the lungs well also. When my dad got down he said we were even since on my first pig hunt I found a ringtail and he shot at it and this was my return for that. He also said he did not want to shoot a pig since he forgot how bad they actually stunk. We did glass up another herd of pigs that afternoon but got sidetracked watching a nice buck.

Alright here are the directions. It is about 1.75 miles to the east of Arivaca and about a mile south off of the Universal Ranch Road. We have our trailer in the park and I will have a big banner saying COUESWHITETAIL.COM There is also a small resteraunt there now but we should have plenty of food if we get some side dishes or some other small main dishes of some kind.

Also if everybody can bring there own bowls, plates and utensils that would be a great help. Also just to remind everybody again please bring your own drinks. I should have enough chili for 20+ people so we just need some side dishes.

Just got back from another weekend of scouting and HAM hunting in hopes that my dad would get his pig. Friday morning we glassed for several hours turning up some decent bucks but nothing spectacular. Then we saw some pigs so my dad circled around to head them off. He got 3 shots with his .357 but did not connect. Scouted the rest of the day and Saturday turning up some more bucks with 2 good bucks. Then this morning while hiking up to our perch at first light I spotted a herd of pigs only 25 yards away. My dad decided to carry my .460 but had it in his pack so no shot but we came close. Hopefully this next weekend we can relocate some of the bucks we have been watching. Good luck to everyone this next weekend.

If everybody wants to try this again we can. I was thinking we could do it Saturday night after everybody gets off of the hills. It can be held in my dads and my camp again. We are not going to be in the campground this year but will determine where we will be camped off of the replies I get from this. If you are interested in doing so let me know. He has some big horns from his elk tell him to go for the coues! Also there are so many mulies in that unit if you can find a high point to glass the rolling hills and flats you will find alot of deer.

I highly dought that since the only one in your truck has been your mommy Slow ( I have had it up to 110 before ) Crappy (Its been in alot more places than any GMC) Outdated (It is authentic and no other company has made a vehichle that stands up to it yet) Under powered (It has the same amount of torque as your truck actually 10 foot pounds more) Tragecially horrify, rusted, old POS (It has 2 rust spots on it and it is nowhere near a POS) As for the dodge I thought your papi drove one also Right?

Also 2 other vanes to look at are the 2.5" quickspin and the new 2 inch AAE. Both fly really well, but I have not shot them with a broadhead yet.

You have friends!LOL! Blazer vanes for me. I use them for hunting and 3D shooting they work great. I sure wasn't talking about you with your dang hoyt and scope. CHEATER!!!

I along with most of friends shoot blazers. I have noticed it does help with broadhead flight.
