Nicely done! Congrats to your buddy and your boy!

Got hit for a 29 tag this morning with 24 points

Phenomenal buck JR.

I’d be surprised if someone would rent animals out. I know there are folks that will pack you in and out for a few
-
Sent mine already 8/29
-
If I remember correctly the amount of tags for a unit cannot not exceed the amount of (Class III Rams / 4) found during the aerial surveys. It’s been a few years since I spoke to a WM about it though so it may not be that way anymore
-
Congratulations! Sounds like an amazing hunt!
-
Fantastic buck!
-
Every bull I saw last weekend was rubbed clean. From what I’ve seen I’d say average to slightly above for growth. Elk are HEALTHY this year!

My dad and I have been running the same filson vests for years. His is 20+ years old and mine is pushing 20

With a lifetime license you will always be in the resident pool. Id you live out of state you will have to pay a nonresident fee

If there is room I’m in
-
Where does it say that? Everything I’ve read says that 12 tags will be issued
-
Have to scroll from 0 all the way to 19**. Kinda ridiculous but doable
-
The 27/28 combined is for antlered whitetail and the hunts where they are specified by themselves or for antlered mule deer
-
There was an elk killed by a girl from up in Kingman. Her dad signed it over to her after an accident Also saw 1 mule deer that was drawn by an outfitters wife. Lastly saw the central coues bucks that was maybe 90. I don’t believe any of those 3 were influencers but I may be wrong

High Country Comfort Mesa family that have been in the business for a long time and are avid hunters

Seeing it in the field, YouTube videos, here say, etc 🤷🏻♂️

Congratulations on the buck. Glad it worked out for you. All I’m saying is that the majority of the time it does not work out that way sadly. If your friends have the right equipment and you’re a competent shooter you’ll most likely be fine. It’s the individuals who have never shot them and buy one off the shelf who expect it to be like a rifle that I’m talking about.

Going into a hunt unprepared with a bow, muzzleloader or a rifle is no different. Shouldn’t matter if it’s an elk hunt or a deer hunt. Just as good of odds of wounding an animal #deerlivesmatter
-
@bigbuckfever at least you had been planning for years and most likely did research and had an understanding of them. I’m willing to bet the majority of people applying for the leftover muzzy tags had never thought about hunting with one or even shooting one until they applied. Also I’m willing to bet that there will be minimal practice with them before the hunt and people will be shooting much further than they should expecting them to act like a rifle
-
Sadly it’s true. I know of several instances that are ridiculous
-
How many people apply for those muzzy hunts who have never shot one before. Just like people applying for archery bull and never shooting a bow before 🤦🏻♂️
