You are right on the edge for a proper spine. In all reality you should be in the 340 spine for that setup. If you are shooting blazers and a 100 grain tip you are going to be right around the 355 grain mark which is a very light setup especially for hunting. -

What arrows are you shooting and what spine are they? You may be shooting enough weight, but with an underspined arrow it can hurt the bow. -

I was fortunate enough to draw back to back archery bull elk tags in the same unit. Last year was a great hunt with many bull passed up and 1 missed shot that will haunt me for quite a while. This year was a slow rut and elk were tough to find. With the help of my dad and my good buddy Rob I was able to arrow this wide beast on the 10th afternoon at 21 yards. It is my best bull to date and tapes out at 340 with a 57 inch inside spread! I will be writing up a full story eventually. Have to get back to work!

Thanks for all the congratulations everybody, it really means alot. Still do not have a story yet, but hopefully soon. The twisted pedicle does not look like a previous injury, I believe that it was genetics in the area. I had seen several bull with a twisted right pedicle in this particular area.
