OK I have never hunted lions before and would like to get a shot at one. Should I just sit and glass as I would for Whitetail or should I try to find tracks and try to track them down. Or should I try to find an area where I know one is and try to call it in.

So what unit are all of you guys gonna put in for for the whiteys this year? I am gonna put in for unt 33 October for my #1 and unit 21 Dec. for my #2. Both of these are good hunts I think and I have seen some good bucks in both units now all I need is to get drawn.

Those are some massive tines on that bad boy. That is the size coues I am gonna get this year.

For me deer-1 elk-2 For my dad deer-1 elk-2 antelope-11 (I hope he gets drawn this year.)

What no whitetail.

This is the biggest elk shed that I have ever found. I found this shed in unit 8 about 4 or 5 years ago. It has a 51 2/8 main beam 20 G1 and 22 1/8 G2. This elk has tine length and mass with a massive 10 1/8 base. Here is the pic. The final score on this is 178 5/8

I found the one with big eyeguards in a really big and steep oak canyon and the one with the big base I found in desert terrain in a prickly pear.

This shed has a 16 7/8 main beam along with a massive 8 1/8 eyeguard. This shed scores 54 6/8 by itself.

I forgot to metion that the shed with the huge eyeguard. I saw the buck when I was hunting for mearns and continued walking the trail and found one of his old sheds. The other side is just as big and he is pretty wide. So this buck should score about 125 as a typical.

This is just an old buck it has a 5 1/8 base and scores 43 2/8 with 2 broken tines and a broken mainbeam.

I know what your talking about but I just would like to go on a hunt.

All right I figured out what I am gonna do. I am gonna put in for 36b October for my #1 then I will put in for 21 Dec. for my #2.

In my mind anything that is bigger than a forker in my book. I have never gotten a buck before so my goal is to get at least a forker.

I know a lot of places in this state in about every unit it seems like. There are just certain units that I have seen moe bucks per does. Those are the ones that I would like to put in for.

Isn't 33 the unit you huntedthis last year 25-06.

I tried unit 36c this last year but saw not near enough bucks for me to want to go back. This last year though I did see several nice bucks in 21 and I know several people who hunt 33 every yaer almost and get a buck most of the time.
