  1. Yotebuster has it right. The arrows spin more with a helical thus slowing down.

Too bad you are in the southern part of the state. I have a Spot Hogg 7 pin sight that I might consider trading.

Having trouble finding doors for this jeep. I know it's a long shot but does anyone know of a set laying around or someplace locally that may have them?

Diamond ring for sale or trade

I worked a construction job where a guy auctioned off his wife for a weekend. If I remember he raised over $2200. Good looking girl

They are starting to hit CC

They post quick but if they follow the pattern they have in the past you need to do some math to find out if you drew. If I remember how it works......look at your current balance and available credit on your Cabelas card. If there are no pending charges the available balance will be the credit limit minus the current balance on your card.

    Spotting Scope Help

I own a Zeiss. Like most scopes I have used the upper range magnification has issues with heat and crud in the air. Up to 40x it is crystal clear. Before I bought it I compared it to the Swaro's and thought the Zeiss was better but that is just me. I haven't tried any of the new HD versions of spotters so I couldn't comment on them.

    Fixed blade broadhead vs. mechanical

Here's a Slick Trick bloodtrail that even I could follow. It makes no difference whether it is a mechanical or fixed blade. You put the arrow in the right spot and you have a dead animal. I have used both and have found no reason to change to a mechanical. Someday that may change but for now I shoot Slick Tricks.

    whats your back up plan?

If they hit credit cards before the New Mexico application process closes I am putting in there. I also know an outfitter in southwestern CO that has an affordable drop camp for elk hunts. Worse case scenario is I am going archery deer hunting in AZ this summer

    Credit Card Hit!!!

I'm pretty dense so I hope someone can explain to me why they were calling people about the applications when the deadline was about updating credit cards. I thought the window to fix a screwed up application was way past or did they change that too?

    Bank Card Cancelled!!

They need to look at allowing us to create a user account with an alternate card just to cover this stuff. Most people have a couple of credit and/or debit cards. It would also do away with reentering the same info repeatedly when applying for multiple species. I don't know what bank you use but I would contact them to see if they can cover expenses from G&F. I recently had a similar issue and the bank was pretty gracious working with me. Another way to avoid this is put in with paper. The online system is so convenient but this is the kind of stuff that gets thrown into the works and screws everything up. I have several friends that won't apply any other way but the old fashioned way.

    Arrows/Broadheads

Some interesting reading here. It didn't change my mind about what broadhead to use but I was surprised the Swhacker did so poorly. However after hunter74's experiences with them it probably shouldn't have. http://www.arkansashunting.net/showthread.php?t=158170

Sight tapes come with the sight? What diameter is the sight ring? Are the other pins .019? Is it a right hand sight?

    Arrows/Broadheads

For the money Victory arrows are hard to beat. As to broadheads........slick tricks. My experience with them is they are as accurate as a field point and not a lot can go wrong with them.

    Looking for a JEEP

How much are you looking to pay? I have an older CJ that I want to sell. It sounds like a wreck but it has 120K original miles. Sun was it's worse enemy. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/cto/4310326557.html

    Boquillas Ranch Closed

It is not public leased land. Most people think it is but is not. Here is some info on STL. And a quote on the info about public access " Land leased for agricultural, mining, commercial or military use is not available for recreation." http://www.ehow.com/about_6653911_information-state-trust-land-arizona.html "Arizona Trust Land is land managed by the State Land Department Trust Land is not public land http://www.azland.gov/programs/natural/recreation_permit.htm

    Boquillas Ranch Closed

We are dealing with private property and State Trust land. STL is not public land. Without doing research I would think that the Boquillas has leased the STL within the ranch boundaries. This kind of BS is exactly why I will never hunt unit 10 again outside of the national forest.

    Bonus point question

You are assigned a number. The number of points you have just increase your chance for getting a lower number. The lower the number the better. Or so I am told. Check this link out for how the draw works http://www.azgfd.gov/eservices/BigGameDrawingProcess.shtml
  21. Cleaning out the closet and need to make room. I have a Browning Impulse LS. It was my daughter's bow but she quit shooting several years ago. It has Vapor Trail strings, QAD rest and a sight that is is a hybrid of Montana Black Gold and Tru Glo. Comes with a cheap bow case. Chrono'd this at 252fps with a 330 grain arrow. I think a good shock absorbing stabilizer would help this bow. It has a bit more hand shock than I like but is pretty accurate. Asking $100. .
