Or would you archers be willing to cut your season short and open it up to crossbow permit holders/handicap persons? I don't think most guys would go along with that.
-
Not too sure about a couple of recommendations but at least you are letting your voice be heard. I might go along with tightening the crossbow requirements but not eliminating them during an archery hunt. I was anti crossbow until I lost 50% use of my left arm. It changed my perspective completely. I live to hunt desert mule deer and the thought of sitting out the late hunts is not something I want to think about.

I am in the Tonopah area. I can meet in Avondale late evenings but it will be in the latter part of the week. If someone wants to pickup I can drop to $40. These arrows have been sitting for about 3 years and I have no use for them. 29 1/2" from nock valley to end of arrow.

Until wife #2 came along I slept with a 2” pad on the ground. Now I have cots but occasionally still throw a Cabelas cot mattress with an Alps self inflating mattress on the ground. Either works alone but the two together are better than what I have at home.

I can't use it so I am turning it back in hoping someone else can get some good times out of it. Barring a miracle my bowhunting days are over.

Tom Wagner got this tag. I know him from a hunt several years back

Getting drawn

Thanks. I have dealt with both of these guys in the past. Great guys!

A lifetime of abusing my body has caught up to me. I have an upcoming surgery that will put me down for three months. Hopefully by archery deer season in January I’ll be able to get out in the field again. I’m going to try a crossbow. I have been anti-crossbow but instead of sitting at home and wishing I was hunting I am going to cross over to the dark side.

Espee Camp, Tin House, Long Point area. When I hunted 10 I always saw some good antelope in those areas.

Maybe that's true but if you hit an animal in the right place and at a reasonable hunting distance it will likely be a short blood trail. My boss shot a cape buffalo with his deer rig.....68lbs, 425 grain total arrow weight with a 100 grain slick trick. It busted ribs going in and coming out.

1 1/2" last night in the armpit of the world. We have gotten 2" in lovely Tonopah since this started. I feel bad for those folks in Gila Bend. There has been several deaths due to flooding and idiots trying to cross flooded roads.

I have posted this before but this is a 423 grain arrow. That’s a 125 grain slick trick broadhead . It went through both scapula at 52 yards on a bull elk. He went about 50 yards and dropped over dead. that set up chrono’d at 269 ft./s.

Likely not. I work 10-12 hour days and don't make it to a post office or UPS/FedX store.

Anyone ever hunt the saddle mountains in tonopah a Az unit 41?
creed replied to Coues120's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I live about 7 miles from Saddle Mt. Lots of people at times but there are some big bucks that use the farm fields on the west/southwest side of the mountain. If you can get high and glass the flats in between you sometimes can catch them moving. Overall what Edge said is a pretty good description. Eagletails are a better choice. -
I either walk back tune or broadhead tune my bows but today thought I would try bareshaft tuning after a papertune. This is from about 25 yards. I have been told all bareshaft will tell you is that your spine is correct and paper tune will tell you how much torque you are applying. Anyone bareshaft tune?

a honda pioneer 700 shock won't work? I can't seem to find comparison dimensions but I think I have a couple i would give you
-
Have you found a good one? Biggest antelope I have ever seen was in 5B. I applied there several times for the archery hunt but finally decided I wanted to hunt rather than build bonus points.

Only negatives here. Looks like I am probably turning in an elk tag. Freaking depressing.

Geez. Almost start wondering who's next. RIP

Whether he needed the hemicolectomy before or after the vaccine I don’t think makes much difference. He died in his sleep which would suggest to me he had a heart attack. But I don’t know jack about anything.

I got Covid. Put me into a fib and nearly killed me. But, I know a guy I used to work with got the vaccine, was dead in a week from Covid like symptoms that affected his heart, another friend that got the vaccine and was in the hospital with heart conditions within a week, my insurance agent got the vaccine and had a heart attack the next day. I closed escrow on a property and while filling out paperwork the escrow officer was telling me her husband got the vaccine and was dead within three weeks from a fib heart related conditions. Too many people I know have got the vaccine and had issues that I don’t think I’m going to get it. And not all of them were old decrepit geezers. There’s one coming out in October I believe that is completely different than these they have now. My doctor said to wait and take it then if you’re going to get it. For now I will take my chances.
