This will be the 1st time in 8 years that I will not have the opportunity to hunt Mules in the flats. I see there are tags for 34A and was wondering how the area was looking from the lake up ( green, dry, burnt)? I understand that there is mining activity going on but I believe that is away from that area and should not be a factor. Just looking for generalizations prior to heading down that way to do some scouting, such as is there water in the lake? Thank you Phil

We were in 44A, and also noticed the lack of deer sightings, many signs but lack of sightings. What we did see was many off road vehicles that were off road, not on a designated road or even a rough resemblance of a road, and I would venture to guess that was helping the lack of deer sightings.

Lark, Give Kent a call he is an independent and works from home. I needed a new sight for my Smith 28, due to the fact that my uncle filed down the original back in the 60 to put a scope on, and I wished to go back to open sight and did an excellent job. We have a few 1 month old Corn Snakes for sale, these are the same as Pets mart sells for 50.00+. They have all shed once and have eaten at least3 times, they are eating frozen thawed pinkies. For those that remember Mike Udall was a snake a snake breeder and we purchased 2 from him 2 years ago. He sexed them as both female, we discovered 3 month ago one was a male, hence the little ones. Please let me know if you are interested in one. Please be aware they are very friendly but do grow.as they parents are 42” and 44” after just 2 years. The Amelanistic Motley are $20.00 The Snow would be $30.00 Phil

The above mentioned scanner does work well but not on "Vista 64" as I found out. Here is a picture that I scanned using the scanner when attached to my old system. Phil

Amanda, I have not hunted with my cap-n-ball but did run into a father and son during ham hunt in 34A a couple of years ago and they both were using cap-n-ball revolvers. I had to leave prior to them so I do not know how they faired. Phil

As it has been stated you will make a mistake or two and may wish to invest in a stuck case puller. I also have had great luck with Hornady One Shot case lube, is the simplest and cleaner than any other. I would recommend picking up at least 1 other reloading book for a good cross reference; and a dial caliper either analog or digital will work. The balance beam scale will work fine until you get you feet under you and then some. I started out with an old Herter’s press and Herter’s dies and lee scoops; it forced me to learn lot about reloading and many calls to my dad. I wish he were still here to answer questions from his Grandson. Phil
