Tough to follow up whatever Lark says... but I feel like hunting has SOME luck involved. If there is a possibility that wearing camo will reduce the chances of a deer seeing me, I need that advantage, however slight it may be. That doesn't mean that you become invisible. You still have to do all the other things, don't get skylined, keep the wind in your favor, try to stay out of the sun, use physical objects to break up your silhouette, etc. As far as Orange goes, I should probably start wearing some of it again. I guess it's personal preference.

A guy I work with has been looking for an official scorer for Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep. Sad story, he had it scored legit at Bass Pro right after the drying period. Measured right at 180". He gets a call back from the scorer Bass Pro brought in a while later, said even though he was an official scorer, he had not been certified for Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep and his score of 180" would not count. By this time the sheep had shrunk an inch or so more and now he doesn't get the record books. Anyways, he is now looking to have it oficially scored. Any help would be great. Here is a pic of him and his sheep.

that's cool!

thanks

I know. But the ram deserves the recognition. After the drying period, he placed the horns in the garage. He can only guess that it shrunk more.

Has anybody heard of Broken L Outfitters in the White Mountains? Just curious. I appreciate any input you all might have. Thanks!

Regarding the open circles on the reticles for the Nikon BDC, you can expand the circles, meaning use each mark where the circle hits the main post as a point of reference. That is what I do with mine. So instead of having 4 points of reference, I can have 13 points of reference with each magnificatioin setting (requires a bit of work to set those up). It works out better that way for me. Concerning the clarity, I feel like the Nikon scopes offer exceptional quality, not necessarily what you'd get with Zeiss or Swaros, but close to Leupold. For the money, I think the Nikon is a great scope. Good luck!! Lot's of options out there. Josh

I have the nikon bdc on the buckmaster. Love it. Check out their website. They have ballistic calculators for you exact load and you can find what the approximate distance is for each reticle at different magnifications. Very good info. Josh

How long has it been since you been drawn for bull elk
luvdemcoues replied to joeybari's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Man, what a depressing thread. Here I was starting to feel sorry for myself because I haven't been drawn in 2 years. Thanks for putting it into perspective for me. I am like TJHunt2 in that I put in for the areas that I have a better chance at getting drawn. I just love being out there. Besides, there's always a few good bulls even in those areas with higher draw odds. If I don't stumble across one of those, oh well. At least I was out. -
I can still get people pecan wood if they want some. Just pm me.

Those were fun to look at. Thanks for sharing.

Dude, that muley set is awesome!!!!!! What a find. Congrats to the whole fam. I'm jealous you get to go do that so often. It's a little tougher to find elk drops in the QC. A down side of marrying a valley girl I guess. But I love her just the same! Josh
