Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets - State Champs
luvdemcoues replied to Coach's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Was it a close game at least? Does Blue Ridge finally have a good program again?!! I don't know about the bad blood. The games were always heated for sure, but I can't recall many if any at all that ever got out of control. Congrats to the Jackets. How exciting that must have been for the mountain to have both teams at state! Too cool. -
Dude, that is a smoking deal!!! I will call a buddy that I know of that is looking for a good rod. I will get back with you.

My Little NM buck!

Amanda, sounds like an awesome hunt! Congratulations on the longer shot. I enjoyed the story. Thanks. -
I didn't know where else to post this topic... My son is 5 years old right now and I am dying to get him in the field. He has an amazing love of hunting already, he prefers the hunting channel over cartoons. He also has an incredible ability to focus on one thing for an extended period of time, for example, 18 holes of golf is not enough for him. How early (age wise) has anyone else taken their children along on a hunting trip, even if it is just a javelina or turkey hunt?

How do you do it all brotha?! Love the stories and pics. We need to hook up some time. Thanks my friend. Josh

When you rub your wife's feet, back, neck, shoulders every morning and night for a month just so you can leave for one hunt... for one day. -
Love it! Thanks for sharing.

Great story! Good luck on your sons next hunt.

Awesome! I am trying to get my wife out. This is the type of stuff I need to show her to get her over the hump. Congrats!

I agree with AZHuntAtty. If that shoot out were to happen, the news would portray it as the hunters fault. And heaven forbid, a hunter were to die, the news would likely laud the gangs. My brother, PALIVS2HUNT and KDOG had a run in with a smuggler a year or 2 ago down there. Scary deal. The gangs shot and killed one of the smugglers buddies and this smuggler got away but lost everything he had. I will let one of them post the story.

Way to get it done. Sounds like an exciting hunt!

If you can get the Tikka T3 in that price range, do that! I have a 270 WSM in the T3 lite and absolutely love it. In fact my brother-in-law just picked up the 300 WSM in the T3 as well. Have fun.

Hey all, I took your advice and brought my little man along on a bird hunt this morning. He didn't walk very fast and it was hard to get into the birds, but we had a blast! We also got to see 2 javelina real close. Those were his first ones. He thinks he is pretty neat stuff right now since he got to go hunting with his dad. We will try it again soon!

Always a good time!
