Dude, that muley set is awesome!!!!!! What a find. Congrats to the whole fam. I'm jealous you get to go do that so often. It's a little tougher to find elk drops in the QC. A down side of marrying a valley girl I guess. But I love her just the same! Josh

A Wee Little Change in Our Country

You know what else gets me... They did this on a Sunday! I will bet the Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves about that. Nothing is sacred anymore. We the people of the United States of America.... need to wake up and do something now! Or we will be saying "we the people" got hosed! (heck, we already can say that) -
I'm interest. PM sent. Josh

Quick question... I crushed the shoulder of a some of my brass but didn't realize it until I had done it to a few of them. I have already pulled the bullets and emptied the powder, but what do I do with the brass and unfired primers? I am not going to keep the brass, I was just curious about how to dispose of the unspent primers with them still in the brass... Thanks.

Very cool. I hope that big boy is still around.

Dude, I am sorry to hear that. I hate when people steal. It is such a horrible feeling to have your personal things taken like that. -
Hey J, Thanks again for calling in that cat. Too much fun. I'm hooked! Congrats on the foxy. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the bobcat...

270 WSM reloading suggestions
luvdemcoues replied to lionhunter's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Thought I would revived this thread (and maybe even hi jack it)... I was finally able to track down some Remington LR Mag primers today. I haven't built a load yet but thought I would ask some questions of people a lot more knowledgeable than myself. I have 2 different powders... RL 22 and H4831sc. Also 2 different primers... CCI LR and the Remington LR Mag primers. I will be trying to get the Berger 140 grains to shoot right. Any suggestions on the Mag primers vs. the CCI primers? I am using Winchester brass for some loads and Federal brass for others if that makes a difference. Thanks, Josh -
Gamehauler, I have access to a bunch of pecan wood if you want any of that. I'm in. Queen creek. Josh

Dandy! Congrats. -
Hey all you More Knowledgeable People Than Me out there, I have a quick question about reloading. When I was first taught about reloading, I was told that Neck Sizing is better than Full Length Sizing because it is more acurate. I am reloading for a bolt action 270 WSM. I cannot find the Neck Sizing dies anywhere. Plenty of the full length dies. How much of a difference does the neck sizing make compared to the full lenth sizing. I currently have the RCBS Full Length Sizing Dies. Thanks for the help. Josh

Good to know. Thank you everyone for your comments. I will let you know how it goes. I am going to give them a try.

Hmmm... anybody else have any history with the Bergers?
-
I am just starting to reload. I am sure I will have to try a few different seating depths out to get it just right. Thanks for the input fellas. I am sure if I tried hard with the Accubonds, I could get them to shoot well, I just thought that with what I am reading and hearing about the Bergers, I would give them a try first. I do not take real long shots, and I have read that the Bergers or more effective at long distances. Any thoughts?

Very nice! Congratulations to you and your brother on his kill too. Welcome, both of you, to the site.
