I'm not very concerned about personal encounters, but I am a bit worried about the safety of my vehicle while I am away. We intend to do some backpacking, so the vehicle may be left for several days. I've got a Club for anti-theft, but should I worry about someone breaking in to the cab or shell of my truck?

I'm wondering which of the Alaska Guide Creations packs I would need for a pair of 10x56 Zeiss that are 9.5" tall? I'm assuming the large, but would like to get away with the small if it's not a pain in the rear to get them in and out. Any comments on the pack from those who have one? Thanks...

I'd try calling the BLM Information Access Center in Phoenix (602-417-9200). I've always had good luck ordering maps directly from the BLM state offices, and they are always cheaper than PLIC. I ordered a whole pile of maps last year from the Utah office. Only $4 apiece, no tax or shipping charge, and they were on my doorstep within a week.

Thanks for the welcome! I may be optimistic about the draw, but I figure that doesn't hurt anything. I'm optimistic about every draw, whether it's a cow tag at home or a Montana sheep tag. Good luck to everyone in the draw.

I've been reading for a while, and decided it was time to say hi. Many of you have probably "seen" me on other forums...hope I didn't offend anyone. A buddy and I have collected a handful of points and plan to be deer hunting in December this year. He has hunted Coues one time before and killed a 98" buck. This will be my first try. A CW member mentioned the 5%'ers in another post recently, and I'd like to think we will be in that group. I'm going to have some general logistics questions if we draw. Bear with me.
