Your right Casey its been a great year for Ryan and I. But don't hate on me to much because Ryan drew the Archery Bull, Antelope, and now late Dec. Coues tag. I'm confident in saying that will never happen in a million years for him!

Got a cc hit for two deer tags. Only put in for December Coues this year so it looks like my brother and I scored on rut hunt!

I would use any other call than the Hoochie Mama. I know several people have called elk in using this call however if you want to call in a good bull I wouldn't use it. Almost every other hunter in the woods owns a Hoochie Mama and I've seen several bulls heading in the opposite direction of this call. On more than one occasion I've started to work bulls in just to have another hunter start using that call and the bull would shut up. Just my two cents.

I bought this rifle almost one year ago and up to recently have been pretty happy with it. About a month ago I went out to do some long range shooting and found out I could not group my gun at 100 yards. I had my scope taken off and re checked my Talley rings which seemed to be ok. The only thing that I found to be kind of strange was the screw located directly behind the trigger guard seems to free float and not completely tighten down. The screw isn't completely loose and is some what tight but still not tight all the way. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and if this would be something to throw off my accuracy. Also I have been looking into new stocks and have been getting mixed reviews on whether there are after market stocks that will fit the Savage 111. I would like some feed back on some of this especially about getting a new stock to put on the gun. Thanks Regan

I'm shooting a 140 grain Berger VLD. This is the only ammo I have shot out of this rifle and up until the last two trips I had been able to get solid three shot groups at 100 yards. Since I've tried shooting at longer distances even out to 500 yards just to be sure and I am missing bad. I've narrowed it down to either my stock or VX3 Luepold scope. Hoping it is the stock.

I believe there is a shoot coming up at Morman Lake between the 15-17 of June. I've been looking for more info this shoot but I haven't been able to find much info.

Wanted to see if anyone has had any success in Unit 23 the non burro hunt. Was lucky enough to draw the Nov rifle tag for coues deer this year. If anyone has had success and would like to post a picture of there buck I would appreciate it. Can't wait to get out there and start scouting but in the mean time it would be awesome to see your pictures. Thanks Regan

Went out this past weekend and called in birds three out of the four days. Only had one good opportunity on Saturday morning and my fiance missed. All in all a great weekend. Also the majority of the birds I hunted already seemed to be pressured a little bit. On Friday morning I called in three hens away from a tom and he just wondered off the other way. I've never had that happen before.
