THERE WILL BE NO LAW. The RULE does not prohibit you for looking for animals. CAN YOU READ? There are at least 3 podcast with G&F commissioners that emphasize that cameras will not be banned. YOU JUST CAN"T USE THEM FOR HUNTING. Is it really that hard to understand?

The game and fish cannot ban trail cameras. They can only make a rule that they cannot be used for hunting. They cannot even make you remove them from water unless they can prove you are using them for taking or aiding in taking wildlife. Prohibit the use of trail cameras for the purpose of taking or aiding in the take of wildlife within ¼ mile of a developed water source. Allow the use of trail cameras to aid in the take of wildlife from February 1 through June 30 as long as the camera is not placed within ¼ mile of a developed water source.

The reason they are closing down early archery hunts instead of rut hunts in January is because most non residents hunt in January when their seasons back home are closed. So residents get screwed in Aug and December but the G$F can still get the NR $$$$$
