I'm all for giving Amanda a tip of the hat for this website,we all are very blessed.Happy Thanksgiving all-.

Nice bucks, thank you for your service,as for score,I would guess around 103-106 gross.

Really nice buck,Congrats!!!

I'm afraid that you are right, they are giving you opportunity to hunt, but there are no deer.
-
I don't want to discourage you,but I live in 20C,and I don't hunt here.My family has been ranching here since 1920,and along in the 1950's-1960's we would see over 100 deer a day riding horseback. Now, it's a rare sight to see a deer, let alone a buck.Too many tags, too many hunts. The best advice I can give you on 20C,if you hunt it is to bring a deer with you.

It's not a bad idea to lap any rings,no matter the brand. This will make it true, and you will never put any marks on a scope again.

I've got a 1987 in good shape for 3500.

Runningfool,I don't want to hijack your thread, but if you are in fact at camp Pendleton,or service related there is the possibility of Ft Huachua.Plenty of Coues, mule deer, javelina, lions ,turkeys, varmits, and limited people.

Rumor has it around Prescott that it was the ORO ranch,it should be interesting.

I have been carring this gun since the Aurora shootings. It's small enough that I always have it.I killed a 3 year old female lion with it last Dec while cutting Christmas trees on the ranch.I would take my 45 if I knew I was going to a gunfight, but I always have my 380.

My kids shot several deer, and a pile of pigs with the 223.I've also shot several bulls[cattle] weighing up to 1900 lbs with it.The only trouble with it was shooting the bulls in the ear with Hornady v-max 55 gr.It was too thin on the jacket, wouldn't penetrate enough. The 55gr soft point worked fine. Also, one of my friends kids, has shot several deer,4 cow elk,and a big tom lion in the ribs, all with one shot apiece.Good Hunting

I got back from New Mexico last night and it was the toughest hunt in the last 4 years Big bulls all alone, elk spread pretty thin, this was on private and public.Last year they were ripping it on Sept 1.Just a different year.

The World Record Pope and Young buck came from 19a,why would you think there are any small ones there?

My dad had 3 different back fusions, but everytime it helped. This was all back in the 60's-70's.We can never be careful enough with our backs!!!!I pray everything goes well for you.

I hunted that ranch the next year with Javier, and we seen some nice bucks, but nothing to compare to this one.Myself and another friend chose to not shoot. The bad part of this story is the hunter didn't have a clue what he had killed.Chino-the guide knew this buck was there as they had sheds from the year before.Chino spotted this buck not far from the camp, and basically had to beg the hunter to shoot him.The hunter kept telling the guide that he wasn't big enough!!!Long story short,he finally shot, took him to camp, other hunter brought his buck in that morning. They gathered around the other hunters buck, and finally this guy tells them that he shot a buck that was around the camp in the shade. He still didn't know what he had.It ended up being the largest non typical to come out of Mexico.A side note to this is the last Javier knew, the guy hadn't mounted it,it was in the freezer. Also Chino, the guide, was a great guy with a wife and kids was electrocuted while working last year.Cliff

I want to thank Amanda for offering tickets to service men and women to the SCI Banquet in Tucson this Saturday. That is what makes this website what it is-GREAT.For many years after Viet Nam no one-even vets that had served wanted to be reminded they had served.Thank god, this attitude has changed. Thanks again Amanda.

I agree with you pine donkey,I would be willing to bet that those pipes were put there by a rancher to improve the spring, not by a individual trying to get better trail cam pics!!!
