    Can't fina an AR-15 anywhere.

On Friday I bought a Sig P229 at Merchant Firearms. While there, I saw they had a Sig Sauer M400 ... they wanted $1600 for it ... I got mine for $950 (including tax) about 4 weeks ago. I'd say that their price is inflated ... but they had one available. PM me if you have interest in a complete lower. I have one that I'd be willing to part with.

    Feinstein proposal

Guaranteed 5 of 9 AZ Reps will vote for it. How's that make you feel if you live in one of those Districts?? Wish you had your vote back now??
  5. I've had one of these a long time. They do the trick.

    Culture change

Some very compelling thoughts ... too bad the media is soooo in the tank for Liberalism ... they'll never ask the tough questions.
  8. I have some Binos I would be willing to donate to a young hunter. They belonged to my oldest son, and I recently got him a pair of Nikons. They are Bushnell 10x42 Sportsman's. Not a high dollar item, but if some young hunter (you know ... a kid between the ages of say 10 and 15 who can't really work for their own money) would like to take them for their use, they are up for grabs. The only thing that I would ask is that when they are done with them, they return the favor and pass them down again to another youngster. Also, I have for sale a pair of quad ramps. They are aluminum ramps ... pretty heavy duty (as I had a 750lb quad and am 270lbs myself and they never flexed much). I think I paid $150 for them ... asking $75 OBO.
  9. Nobody wants free binos? How about up to 18 ... I guess in this economy some of those 16-18 year olds don't have jobs either. Come on Junior Hunters ... somebody has to want some binos. They aren't top dollar glass ... but then they are FREE ... so .............
  10. Nice. Make sure you post pictures and your story.

    road hunters

The warden would have a tough time making that stick if the guy was doing it with an unloaded and sheathed rifle. Any time we are driving ... whether it is to a spot to start hiking from, or if we are driving from one good glassing point to another (after some tough days) ... our guns are unloaded and in their scabbards. In fact, with my boys, I always carry the bullets in my pockets until we get somewhere to glass. Maybe we miss a shot opportunity and maybe not, but saftey is always number one. I don't think you can "road hunt" like that. Also don't think there are too many judges that would let that fine stand ... of course, I could be wrong.

    need help

Don't know much about the Mossberg. Most factory rifles will benefit from things like bedding, free floating the barrel (if it is not floated), trigger work, etc. I have always liked to break in my barrels (factory ones) to try and smooth them, as they are generally pretty rough compared to custom barrels, but again, I don't know a lot about the Mossbergs. David Tubb makes some pre-loaded "Lapping Rounds" in some specific calibers. I think that .300 Win Mag is one of them. Theoretically, this will make the barrel much smoother/more finished. Just some thoughts. Again ... I don't know a lot about the Mossbergs. I am assuming they are similar in their quality and finish to most other factory rifles from the bigger manufacturers.

    road hunters

I feel ya bud. After years of powerlifting, martial arts and other contact sports abuse on the body, sometimes moving from glassing spot to spot in a truck is necessary. I still get a ways off the road and glass from those spots and then cover ground to get the shortest shot possible, but I wouldn't say that is "road hunting". Especially since it is only when I'm plum tuckered from prior days hunting hard.

I have one of these as well. Very good stick.

    XX

I was thinking the same thing. I think I will look up the stat on how many people die per year from alcohol and send it to Costas ... of course that might fuel them to take away my beer, which would be a problem. Liberals ... can't live with 'em ... PASS THE BEER NUTS.

    Found Dead Cow Elf

What a waste. They should have owned up to the mistake and let that meat be used for something productive, rather than leaving it there to rot. As to the Elf ... she isn't a "cow" ... she's just "big boned"  ... sorry ... had to say it.

    Ruger M77 II -- Compact 7-08

    TTT Still for sale.
  21. Gauging interest. My son wants me to sell his first rifle to fund an AR build before Obama takes them away. This is a pretty near perfect Ruger M77 II Compact in 7-08. It has a Van Horn Muzzle Break, Thread Protector, and a Timney Trigger that breaks like glass. Comes with a 3-9x40 Nikon Prostaff with BDC Reticle. I figure we have close to a grand in this rifle new. I will post pictures later. $750 obo.

    Unit 10 Late Rifle Cow

PM Member Name BCD and tell him I told you to PM. He just came back from there ... though he had a disappointing outcome. He might be able to give you a few locations where he saw cows though. His boy was hunting bulls, of which they saw none. Weather is a big factor right now. Pretty warm.
